I see, that's cool!
It just made me a little confused, as I had the 007's on full tilt while listening to it. (obviously, I'm not familiar with noise)

It is a very acquired taste, not for everyone.
WHY WON'T THESE TEARS OF JOY STOP!
Ehehe... I substituted the 'duck' in 'ducktales' for another naughty word that rhymes with truck.
"**** tales ooohhoooo"
I don't really use stuff to compare it
but as of right now, there is no problems.
I am not exactly blown blown away
It is a very good improvement
The seperation is amazing....enough said.
But it's not exactly I am here going ERMAHGERD.
Maybe I review schiit too much?
What did you expect from mid-fi?
Nah give it some time, a sound signature like that doesn't impress upon first listen.
I wasn't blown away with the LCD-2's at all either (not sure if hype is overhyped or what), but the separation remark is pretty much the opposite of my experience. Listening to Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2", the LCD-2's soundstage sounded really closed-in.
Very good improvement over what?
Hmm, maybe. It's really good, but nothing that would justify me spending $850 used and $1,000 new.

Seperation and soundstage are not the same things of course
The instruments are very well seperated from the mids/treble
But obviously, soundstage isn't very large
Over AKG's, Heirs etc
I heard they were supposed to be something like $600 when the LCD-2 was still being prototyped, that would have been pretty sweet.
I personally thought there weren't very good at separation, they couldn't layer at all.

Right....I knew that; I'm just being stupid cuz I got 2 hours of sleep. >_<
I wouldn't pay the price tag for them, even if they were $800 on-sale. HE-500 is more to my liking.
You have STAX mania so it may be different.
But from what I can hear, the seperation is very good
I'l need to try both out...
