Does anyone ever get the kind of ear fatigue where everything sounds too loud and sharp so that just walking around the city you want to put on earplugs?

Just dropped Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman... bored schiitless.

and just started Bokurano, seems interesting and I like the OP "Uninstall"

on other news...

this is just REALLY weird, I invited 2 people on JPS less than 1 week ago (you know who you are)

and just now I logged in and found out that my number invites has maxed out at 10 again?!?!? WTF?

Power users are suppose to be issued an invite once a month, I joined 6 months ago.

So not only is my number of invites magically maxed out, but it will automatically max itself out every few days?
does this mean I get unlimited invites?

Oh oh oh...

Here in Jakarta, nothing is ever piece and quiet. Very loud 2 stroke motorbikes that are sometimes racing between lights, blazing horns whenever there's a traffic jam and loud auto rickshaws pretty much roam the streets everyday. The worst is being in a old auto rickshaw when it's going uphill. That loud old two stroke motor just hurts my ears.

But that's nothing compared to music in nightclubs of course, they're the worst. Pumped up bass and elevated treble at 110dB. The last time I was at a nightclub, I was celebrating my friend's birthday and when I got out of the nightclub, my ears was just ringing all the way. I should consider buying some Etymotic earplugs at least those only attenuate volume level and not some frequencies.

why do you even go to night clubs??
I went once for my middle school grad party, it was utterly boring.

(I was under aged too, ended up having to run away when cops came for random inspection)

.... I guess a socially awkward person like myself won't understand.

It was my best friend's birthday and I promised him and his mother (she organised everything, it was a surprise party for him) that I would come. I too rarely go to night clubs, in fact it was my first time.

I also didn't like it very much. Sure it was a bit fun for the first time and I did drank a considerable amount of alcohol, weirdly I didn't get drunk but I found night clubs to be generally tiresome and boring. After the party, I thought that reading a book is way better than going in a night club. -_-

No police inspection though. In Jakarta, the minimum age required to drink alcohol is 21. All of my friends during that party are less than 21.

You aren't the only one who could care less about nightclubs.

EXACTLY. Or you're better off meeting some interesting people. I doubt you'll find many interesting people in a nightclub.

You're right, not many interesting people in night clubs. Thankfully, the night club that I went in is clean, no drug users or sellers.

I started appreciating beer when I was 17 but I will not consider it as one of my favourite drinks. Tequila, Vodka, I've tried and I found it unpleasant, especially Tequila, thank god for that slice of lemon. It helped neutralise the burn.

Well a country that allows people defecating in public, ridiculous smogs and man juice as face moisturiser, I bet there's a giant robot hidden somewhere.

Shame has been achieved.

Also don't forget the stereotype that China can reverse engineer everything and copy everything, and for significantly cheaper, faster and more numerous.

I just like going out and letting go for a few hours every fortnight. Also, girls.
