@Joe Bloggs and b1or thanks for the explanation. I think I'm getting almost halfway of getting all the questions I've pondered for a while answered. Least to say there is still too much bs to clear up when it comes audio.

Just got a new external storage system.

Found out I can't afford to have 4x 2TB @ RAID 10

Ended up getting 2x 3TB @ RAID 1

 

My R/W Speed is still limited by the stupid USB 2.0 connection

Better not use raid 0 if you can't get more speed out of them. One HD dies and you lose everything on both disks eek.gif

Wait now that I think about it, I sound like a shill. I'm not of course, and this is just from an email I got from them informing me of the sale.
