Okay let me rephrase then: as few OP BS as possible. IMO Gundam Wings did it right, so anything close to that. Doesn't have to be Gundam too. I mean, I kind of like 00, but that's just kind of too much spectacle, and the mass-produce MS are all kind of meh. And too many Gundams.

Also I've been entertaining the thought of starting Macross. Where from?

I never really got into Tallgeese's look. Deathscythe Hell was pretty awesome in my opinion, or Epyon (my brother attempted to make that armour for a cosplay).

I'm expecting this to be a 13/10 anime, and that's probably bad if this turns out to be mediocre. The newest Macross is Macross frontier. You DO NOT need to know anything about previous Macross stuff to watch it. It does have some little info that people that are familiar with it will like but it isn't a continuation. It's a stand alone.

 

The MC is a bit OP'd though. He more or less goes from some dancer to some wing pilot to somehow becomming an ace of the entire fleet in the first 3 episodes. 

 

Macross Frontier is kinda like Gundam 00 with Dance Dance Revolution in it. No joking. There are many serious moments with some romance and love. But many many things are tied into singing and song and love. 

 

But fear not. The songs are actually really good.

I'm REALLY digging the vocals on the P-H.

 

 

P-H works poorly with my Q701 on high gain(slightly more bass somehow) and other analytical ailements with it, but it sounds much better. Not only is it more fun, but it is more accurate as well.
