It's not so bad lol, seems like there's some plot development with the newest episodes.  I'm waiting for the Spring line-up, very excited about many of the titles releasing!

Went to the same place as yesterday to continue yesterday's headphone meet...

 

The host (mcgino) actually showed up with the Sony R10s this time:

At 24 years of age these phones are older than most of you

 

Here's the phones clad in huge leather case complete with bronze plaque

 

Sheepskin earpads showing a vintage look

Earcups made of some hundred year old oak or other, bio-cellulose drivers inside

 

As for listening...

dustdevil's comment: "the r10 sounded pretty good, and they are extremely comfortable.  They are really airy for a closed hp, and emphasize the upper vocals somewhat in a pleasant way."

Me and Boris's comment: WHERE'S THE BASS?????

 

Seriously, it sounds like a phone that has been put through the high-pass filter box that Boris made for our bass-allergic friend Buffon.  This was through either Project-H or the Fiio E17, so it doesn't seem to be a drive issue.

Sounds like the pads and/or the drivers have seen better days (I've read lots of stories about the drivers degrading).

 

Or, they're simply light on the bass. tongue.gif

I don't really care what they sound like. They're beautiful. What version is it? There's a "bass heavy" and bass light iirc.

 

Woke up today, checked the render...floor looked horrible because I forgot to turn ambient occlusion off for the floor material. I want to cry.

IKTF, so many mistakes made, so much time wasted...
...Good thing I always worked with lo-poly game assets, so it's not exactly long rendering. But still there's lots of things to ruin the model (dem smoothing groups).

Currently on prepass 27* of 350. Good thing the animation shouldn't take longer than 3-4 hours to re-render.
