By the way, I ordered your DAC for you. Hope you like it when you get your unit.

I on the other hand hope I can get it silkscreened at an affordable rate.

I contacted a local engraving service (for wine, go figure rolleyes.gif [Violin will know why I'm using this tone]) but have yet to get back to him. He told me ballpark for someone to do it would be about $60. But I'm going to have him do it. Since I'm assuming he wouldn't charge too much since I'm a family friend, and we're only doing one unit, unless someone else wants Saya no Uta?? :P

LOL ye I do know why you're using that tone. Dameet. Is it only saya? And is it $60? Asdf. Clean black is sexy, but I feel the need for life! Hmmm... looks like I'll get a cd900st instead of the sa5000 or HOPE MY ARSE OFF that Sony can make a relatively good flagship in the next year. $270 for the ap exams. Deary me. Didn't see them coming around the corner so soon.

I might want to slip a small 4x7in. panel (about. it's my JTAG games HDD) into that order.... lol

Canceling this 25-foot coax cable is a massive pain... amazon apparently is too scrub to cancel an order a mere 5 minutes after the initial order is placed. *facepalm*

Wiring looks kinda sloppy at best, there's no Loctite on the screws that I can see (?), and ferrules aren't used for the connections to the terminal blocks. I can't wait to inspect the soldering.

Haha, I've seen worse but indeed FSM are the bane of electronics. One of the first thing I learned back in digital system tech: keep it orderly, avoid (flying) spaghetti (monster).

 

I've never worked across multiple boards or inside cases so, from the pictures, everything looks fairly clean to me just long if anything.

None of my monitors have height adjustments ToT

And I already have a TV tuner at that exact spot, and some crappy speakers hiding it. (my desk is a drawing desk so it's slanted; the speakers would otherwise block the screen)
