I just went to headphone bar and demo'd the HD800 & HE500, wow, they were both amazing. But I'd prefer the HD800 over the HE500 since I like bright headphones :D.

And they probably don't ship there(your country) so it's easier to get one locally.

Don't get the thickess one you can find. I had that mistake when I bought mine. The super thickness makes it hard for you to move and it move by itself when there is a bit of tension and what not. Most are fine really. Look at durability and what not. Yes, the signal and fiber wire thickness and MHz and other clock's and jitter do have an effect, but you won't know most of the time and mostsub $20 cables don't either even give you the real specs or speeds and what not. Get a good durable cable that isn't thick or too thin.

What he said.

You know it had to happen. You said the key words..and I shall obey! wink_face.gif

Still wanna listen to an HD800 very badly. I wanna see if I like it better than the SR009 from the small samples I've had of both. Then again, there is a lot of other factors to deal with besides just not having spent enough time. Like equipment synergy and preferences. Something inside me just can't believe something could sound like the SR009 though. It's just the shock of how good it sounded to me though. It wasn't the most "fun" sound so to say but how real it sounded made up for all that.

HD800 & HE500 were the only ones I demo'd since I was short on time, I was listening to mumford and sons. Not sure what the CD player was, I wasn't paying much attention to it, but it was paired with an EF5. One more thing, the HE500 was pretty heavy, it felt 3-4x heavier than the HD800.

HD800 was very natural sounding, just as sennheiser described, I don't really care about "fun" so I guess when I have enough money for it and a good amp I'll buy it...........in the very very distant future O(TT.TT)O.

Well, the reason why I want to always keep my headphones and equipment is that I always enjoy having a sound that I particularly wanna hear at any one time. My musical tastes coincide with that as well. Sometimes I wanna jam to Coloring from papa, other times I wanna bob my head to some biggy. I'm just weird that way tongue_smile.gif

I can say I have no hate for any of the major genres and the only sub-genre I can distinctly say I have no liking for at all is indie rock.

They should add visual novels in the title...not that i Mind it as I see other choices. But I believe they deserve a welcome as well! Since people are talking about music here, any great artist recommendations for some GOOD rap?

I listen to everything but rap & all forms of techno music. Just hate techno so much for some reason.

Which is why I am hoping there are some redeeming artists for rap.

Well, that good part is way too subjective. I think as long as you don't mind the actual process of rapping, there is some rap out there for you. After that, rap is almost as general as the term rock. Aesop Rock may appeal to one person, lil wayne another, and big daddy kane another.

So that being said, I can only recommend you a bunch of different songs stylistically and hope one sticks. Also, do you like any form of R&B?

Does the background rap in some songs count?
I've never heard japanese rap music before...
