I only caught one part of it. And I teared up a bit.
It was a soldier that came in and sang a song. Then he was asked about his family. He replied and basically said that he had been out on deployment to a far away place for over 6 years and have only met his family twice in that time and how he had always wanted to say somethings to his parents. Stuff about thanking them and etc etc.
You could see then, that he knew something was comming up, but of course he wasn't going to hype himself up. He was more static moving at that point and tensed up.
And then his parents showed up in the back.
I teared up a bit.
FYI, joining the army is currently volunteer based, not drafted in anyway. Regular deployment time is only 2 years. For his to be 6 years means it was personal descision.
