It's all about character growth and development. You don't see that from the start.

It's a slow one but has more depth in it than most conventional stuff. That of course is my opinion, but also generally accepted as true for those that brave through it.

After 6 hours, I've FINALLY managed to make a flashing LED with a new microcontroller that I've never used before!

I have officially graduated from 8051 CPUs and moved on to more advanced 8-bit AVR CPUs 

Of course, this is still far less complex then the x86 CPUs in computers or the ARM ones in smart phones.... but it's more than enough for my uses.

 

This "new" core architecture will be implemented in my coming beta22 build as the volume / power controller.

The other Dell is a 2007 model 1680x1050 21.5" I got in 2011 for $25 at a thrift store. I still have the price tag on the back. Though I won't bother posting it, since there's no identifiable information on it saying it's to this exact monitor...

As for something non-related, I am planning on eventually getting speakers for my computer to replace my used JBL Creature II's.  At the moment, I'm looking at the Klipschj ProMedia 2.1 system, but if you have any better suggestions, that would be nice.  Oh, and if it also helps, I have a dedicated sound card; specifically, the one that comes with the ASUS ROG Rampage II Extreme motherboard as a separate PCI attachment, the SoundFX.
