Don't get the mac hate at times though. But maybe not even, since modding threads are getting ridiculously biased. No point in contributing anymore. For too many people, not a contribution by self or __________ person = no value in reading. How is that different from celebrity endorsed products? except that __________ person ain't endorsing anything. In some odd ways people always get back to being the same thing as they despise.

Most say that a study habit /ethic is what most don't have.

  • Re-read/write all your material in note form.
  • Read it again, highlighting everything that might be useful(equations, names, etc)
  • Do some practice questions
  • Revise any areas you get stuck on/get wrong
  • Repeat for a few days per module.

Unix and Linux are more suitable in an enterprise scenario due to ease of systems administration. Of course, in an enterprise scenario you have your own IT support team; not exactly practical for small businesses and personal users, especially when it comes to driver support.

I didn't do any of that until uni. It took me until after a few low(mid 70s) marks to realise I couldn't breeze through uni. In school it was: Pay some attention in class & do homework.

I just sit on my arse on head fi and anime all day.

 

But then again, you can do some of this too so it cna't be that bad.

In hs it was. Rarely pay attention in class, take naps, pass notes, listen to my ipod -> do all my homework during lunch -> still get A's. God I miss high school.

High school was like.. hang out with friends until 10 pm on weeknights after school and then go home and either play video games, watch some shows, or talk to friends all night. Now my day generally goes like this: wake up, go to class, do homework, get distracted by the internet, go to more classes, go to research, go to work, come home too tired to do homework, sleep, repeat. I can't wait until I have a job and the only thing I have to do outside of work is read medical journals and research papers.

I had engaging teachers who often took the topic far beyond the exam material so I enjoyed classes. I napped if I could get away with it though. Listening to music would've been a detention then three of those is a "severe" punhisment, which ranged from empty all the bins on campus, ten laps around the sports fields(this sounds easier than it was) to an actual suspension. I played Age of Empires/Tony Hawk Skate/FIFA at lunch. :)

 

I miss school as well.

 

My days tend to go like this:

Wake up->class(browse head-fi in between taking notes)->labs->home->nap->homework->internet->sleep at 2am. Some days I have to fit sports into that.
