I changed the entire time and crap on my schools p.c for kicks and giggles.

It was easy to do everything and anything else.

Only thing is, the students all gather and make a big deal of it and thus it gets noted. And you get a teacher detention.

This. No BIOS password and having a Linux distro running on your screen is too obvious. We need to be able to just minimize Windows and pretend to do our school work to get away with it.

It does .rar.'s. I'm pretty sure it did zip.

I think he means to bring in the disk like a bauwss.

Yeah that's the problem.

Some crap I downloaded after I redirected the download location in Chrome.

No right click = cannot decompress. You can read archives but you can't extract them IIRC...doesn't matter, 7-zip + PeaZip = every file format is covered.

Plus, why do it even. Takes about 10 minutes for it to boot up. Therefore you can only do it in a class with full hour computer session of which work is needed to be done in.

I think it may have been another format.

.zip  is supportted. I have extrated stuff many times. But only .zip is supported I believe.

Meh, I download too much stuff in .7z these days...

Well, it turns out there were strangers sitting next to the computer with the Xeon in it so I didn't take it and somebody else did.

I don't remember anyone caring that we had kbuntu running. Even the tech staff were more of the opinon "cool, but don't do it again" when they saw it. Teacher sure as hell didn't care what OS or program we got work done on.

I'm leaning toward 3 or 4...

4 hands down no question for me. You finally got the mouth pretty much the same as the original.

Oh and that DBQ was a little iffy. Oh well, it is only worth 9 points in class, and we should be doing alot more of them.

If we can get more tops by complaining about the misprint, that would be great.
Im in the process of resigning my old design. Any suggestions?

And tonight is all nighter #2, ill be explicating the craft of shakespearean sonnets and how it affects the theme. We have a 3page limit so ill have to be concise, not good.

We have to run stuff like Adobe Photoshop Elements or Macromedia/Adobe Dreamweaver 8 and such (we're moving to Adobe CS6 suites later on this year) and have it open when people look to make it seem like we're working.

I went around learning how to operate a DVD player, properly use an old CRT/projector television, and try to use an old Mac at the age of 5.

Give him a spare computer to use if you can find one, preferably with a simple OS. Windows might even work. Just make sure you have a restore point so you can just restore the computer if he messes up anything too bad.

I learned how to set up a full home theater system around 7-8. Apparently matching the colored cables was too difficult for everybody around me. *facepalm* I first learned how to set up composite (Y, R, W). Component was easy to figure out (R,G,B,W,R)

Letting him tinker and haiburis advice is good. Work with him. Father son projects.

Money

Do t actively give it. But make him work for it. And also let him spend it.

He needs to understand the value of money. That he needs to work for it, that the stuff he uses is important. BUT he must not feel like he cant do anything becuase you wont let him spend it.

He needs to learn to carefully plan and spend his money.

Pssh. My 5 year old lil sister got a linux netbook from me. Wasn't long before she figured out installing programs via command line. Kinda disappointed that she now prefers windows 8.

Also, elastic band gun shoots chainsaws.

Good advice

The last one I will contest. I have a full ht setup downstairs. Its not just wire goes there and there.

Its a lot of setup. What unit will work with what and plug what where with what cable or tht one

...A system virtual machine?  I mean, that way, all you'd need to do is ensure he doesn't shut it off, which is somewhat easier.

And hey, that's a 75% rip-off of Nanoha!
