The equation you wrote is a typical trick question some profs would like to put (at least mine did). Unless given the assumption that they are in an aqueous solution, the reaction does not start nor stand

Adding (aq) or wtv notation possible to the NaOH, HCl, and NaCl in the equation you wrote would make it true. (H2O would be (l) at that point too)

I have mixed feelings about this show.

The soundtrack and use of sound effects is superb, and the animation is excellent.
One thing about it really annoys me though, Shaft always uses some very characteristic animation tricks over and over again throughout shows, which is fine if you watch 1-2 shows by them, but once you watch a couple more it starts to become really annoying. I personally find this much worse than KyoAni's one-face policy, since this is a lot more noticeable. I'll give it an 8/10 for it's superb sound and animation, but it's borderline 7 for all the annoyances and blandness.

I'll finish the rest of the Hidamari series as well, but I am anticipating getting even more bored with it.

Though the xHoneycomb one got me cracking up a good many times. Loved it.

Far from perfect, naturally... some of the episodes were pretty much a "..." through.

In terms of animation quality, have you seen the ef opening movies (for the games)?

I can't find the proper video right now but THAT's superb quality, more so than what SHAFT gave us. Not all of it was animated though, and lots of simple/cheap animation. But the parts that mattered are WTawesomeBBQsauce
