Just finished Hidamari Sketch x 365 (second season).

I have mixed feelings about this show.

The soundtrack and use of sound effects is superb, and the animation is excellent.
One thing about it really annoys me though, Shaft always uses some very characteristic animation tricks over and over again throughout shows, which is fine if you watch 1-2 shows by them, but once you watch a couple more it starts to become really annoying. I personally find this much worse than KyoAni's one-face policy, since this is a lot more noticeable. Furthermore I always feel that Shaft's art always feels a bit pretentious, but I may just be biased into thinking so.
Another think about Hidamari Sketch is that it's a pure 100% SoL without too much comedy. This does makes it kinda boring as well, and the most important reason to keep watching is because the animation and sound is so good, but you get bored of that eventually as well.

I'll give it an 8/10 for it's superb sound and animation, but it's borderline 7 for all the annoyances and blandness.

I'll finish the rest of the Hidamari series as well, but I am anticipating getting even more bored with it.

I already checked those out. They weren't for me. The color of the Corsair for one.

shaft. only work that I've liked so far that I know is of their works is monogatari. Ef was ok at most :)
