Great time, I represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and got schiit done. People jacked my partener and I's stuff/ideas and friendships(allies) were made and broken with a word. but overall it was a great weekend.

 

Got the Heir Audio's today :)

 

 

The only problem is that they all are brown and have aftermarket or diff cables with similar nozzles. I can tell which are the 4/3's and which are the Tzars but not between. Counting doesn't work as each seems to have 2 units. Two combined and I large one, I can't tell if that is 3 or if a fourth is in the huge mass.

How do you get to test all these?! That must be awesome

Hinge on my 3.Ai case got loose fairly fast, wouldn't recommend using it too often. You bought all of those in one go?!##!???!@

That includes the Tzars? From what I remembered out of the thread made months ago, it only included the 3.Ai and 4.Ai. Unless I'm gravely mistaken here.

Taking a Saya break for my sanity. Any one know a light-hearted series/manga I could get into for ~1-2 hours or so?

Good IEM's have good seperation to the point where the vision of soundstage is popping out.

Yep, there you go. Take the W3s, suck the upper mids and give some bloom and emphasize on the lower mids, and there you go. Can't imagine them being as sibilant in comparison, especially with the massive shelf. But there is a tinge of funniness up there nevertheless.

These are my uber-fun, pretty IEMs. Or at least for now. W3s have clearer mids, but the fit was awful, so screw that noise. Both are impossibly bassy either way. It's a good contrast between the technical god that is the CK100PRO/ER4P combo, and the coziness of the W4/eQ-5s.

Run those Tzars in with some beastly amps, then tell us all about it!

I only appear good because of 2 things: 1) I have a lot of practice, and 2) I know what I can and can't do. I don't try to do things I know can't do because it will show my true skill level. :P

Yeah, but wiring an entire house for Ethernet would be a PAIN in the arse, at least in my case since I'd have to have chase go underneath my house, crawl to the opposite side of the house, grab cables, and run them to the middle of my house in order to get my desky wired...

And you know I'd do it too! It's fun to do that kind of stuff. (Wire things up I mean. Not the crawling around in the freezing cold and mud under a house that isn't even mine)

Yes, but I'm drawing a blank on how to do it at the moment. It's not labeled 'anti-aliasing' though... it's a special blur filter I think

It'd be better to take your full dose of insanity all at once rather than spread it out over a period of time. Like cold medicine, the effect is much more dramatic. lol

Sibilant compared to "baseline". My baseline is most IEM's.

But yeah, these 3ai are definately sibilant. I believe the 4ai were too but I spent 5 min on the 4ai and currently have 10 min on the 3ai.

Lol, impossibly bassy. For neutral heads that is. for a consumer reviewer like me. The bass on these are really good in quality but the quantity is hilarious compared to the stuff I generally review. That will not affect my overall review by the way. It is just what I happen to always review.

I haven't even touched the Tzar's yet.

I'm near the breaking point right now, where I'm genuinely perturbed, to an extremely personal level. Not talking about the flesh, the cannibalism, or just most of the superficial things. The dialogue, the euphemisms, the realization of what's happening in reality, and just the psychological twistedness and perverseness of it all....Better for my mental health that I step back (doesn't help that I was working through the night, all the way till morning, with this)
