You know, that's one of the reasons I swear by the Beatles being the best artists ever. You get something great on each level; on the surface it's catchy pop with excellent melodies. Behind it lies an experimental sound and perfect harmony in each and every song. And looking even closer you discover new things on each listen, and you start to unravel complex layered sounds realizing the greatness of the music a little bit more every time.
I can listen endlessly to the Beatles, they never bore neither when played on the background, or when attentively analyzing every little sound that fills my consciousness.

Haha, that's cool. What ROM are you running on your N7 again?

I agree. Even when I didn't even give a crap about headphones, I enjoyed their melodies. Going back with the MDs though where I can analyze every new detail, especially in the bass department, is definitely a treat.

So, I'm a casual anime fan at best, but over the past week I've been watching anime nonstop, and have a few new favorite series I'll be adding to my collection:
Revolutionary Girl Utena
Baccano!
Haibane Renmei
I also finally bought myself Serial Experiments Lain, which has been a favorite of mine for a long time. I'd love to get Tatami Galaxy on DVD as well, if only it'd get an American release... And I'd certainly get Paranoia Agent if someone ever put it back in print so that the prices on it were reasonable. >.<
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt and East of Eden are on my 'maybe I'll get them someday' list--I enjoyed both, but don't see myself re-watching either that frequently.
There are a few shows I gave up on after three or four episodes--one that I was surprised to learn that I did not like at all was Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex. This one seems to get so much high praise from everyone that after three episodes I was wondering if there was something seriously wrong with me that I didn't like it. I gave liking it a valiant effort, but I guess I just don't get it. The animation is lovely, as is the soundtrack, but beyond that? I think what really put the nail in the coffin for me were the character designs, especially that of the heroine. I don't think I could go another 20-something episodes of snorting at her ridiculous outfit.
Anyways, I'll gladly take recommendations for more! Figured this would be the place to ask for some.
Edit: Nothing too long please. With very few exceptions, anything over 20 episodes is generally not my cup of tea--not going to rule them out entirely, but I'm just less likely to check them out unless there's a really compelling reason!

You don't really need hi-fi for that. I could do it even on iBuds.
What you mainly need is experience. When you got new headphones and an interest in hi-fi, you probably started looking at new aspects of the music. You probably started listening more attentively than you might have done before.
Don't stop doing that. The more you do it, the better you get at it, and, for me at least, the more you'll be starting to appreciate the music. Instead of just liking the tune, you're gonna build up respect and appreciation at the artists, and look at the music not as pleasure or stress relief, but rather as a piece of art. Reaching this stage is one of the best things that has ever happened to me, it has taught me quite a few wise lessons.

Yay!...
;_;
You're one of the few if you ask me. Most people I've talked to liked it even if they haven't enjoyed the original movie...
About reocomenndations: do you have a MAL account so we know what have you seen already?

Hope Chase doesn't mind, but since I was just showing this to someone, and I'd talked about it earlier, here's my modded Xbox 360's theme courtesy of Chase-kun:

Hell Yeah!

LCD-2 in IEM form? Look no further than the TG334. The similarities are uncanny. Lol at the 1300 price tag though. Seattle friend had a pair to trade with the DAC1 for a month, so why not? Shouldn't have done it - best month of my life.
Haven't read much about pseudo-LCD-2 CIEMs, maybe the Aurisonics or the ACS?
Is it sad I watched all 3 seasons of the Boondocks right after a django viewing...
I love Boondocks! ****s so funny. How was django.

Pics of new schiit! First, the mark on the display... I'm going to see if this is removable tomorrow.
And finally, some angel beats

I'd say the blacks are on par with my Panasonic plasma, which is impressive!
Watching anime on this for college might not be so bad after all...
Wow, hope you didn't pay too much for that! Thats a gnarly scratch... Hows Angel Beats?

I don't know what a MAL is. ^^ If it helps, the only other anime series on my shelf currently are Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, FLCL, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. I do have the End of Evangelion movie, but do not have the Bebop movie (didn't care for it a whole lot). I've seen two of the new film remakes or whatever of Eva and they were OK--but don't really feel the need to own them at the moment.
