Oh, and I also hate my netbook... Y THESE NO COME WITH SSDs?????

I don't really wanna put a drive in this little guy that costs more than I paid for it :/

Why are you even using iTunes in windows?

Yeah, every Beatles song in mono and stereo, along with other stuffs...

He said he was going to either look at the HD650 or LCD2. I said he should stay away from the HD650, and if he doesn't have the money or want to spend that much on the LCD2, to get a pair of Mad Dogs. Today marks me having them for a full month, what many consider to be the ending of FOTM syndrome, or the honeymoon if you will.

Because I own one of Steve Jobs' fine cutting boards, as well as his hard drive based portable music player, and I don't know of another music program that lets you share your entire library from computer to computer, supports iPod sync, and is airplay compatible ;)

What kind of speakers do you use?

ye ye. FOTM... I forgot what that means... feel of the mamba? sounds bad ass. LCD-2... I wonder what panda's top gun phone is atm. I just noticed how we have a void of headphones from $3/400-1000... not MSRP.

I'd recommend the K550. Had them for about 9 - 10 months and I'm still liking them a lot.

On the other hand... my SHE3590 sounds better then my UE11 after EQ.... I must've gone mad.

(Just FYI the SHE3590 is a $10 earbud, UE11 is a $1150 CIEM.)

Hence the name "favor of the month" :D

I should say first off that I haven't heard the HD650s. My dislike for it comes from my experiences with the HD600, and reading both comparison reviews and looking at FR graphs/CSDs of both.

While I don't see the treble as recessed (in fact I think there's more emphasis than on my Mad Dogs) I never found the HD600 treble to be recessed, I found it to be lacking detail. Less treble on the HD650 just sounds like a bad idea to me. Also, the additional bass doesn't seem like it would be good either. After hearing the Mad Dogs, the bass on everything else I've heard just doesn't sound as good. Everything else seems "looser" or isn't as "textured" meaning there isn't as much detail. I've also looked and found the HD650 to be even slower than the HD600, which is already a fairly slow headphone in the first place.

Sorry if I offend you or anything, these are just my opinions, and YMMV.

Hmm... the K550... What an interesting phone... I need to hear one again other than the 5 minutes I spent with it in best buy..

Subjectivists love it and objectivists hate it...

7k spike of almost 10dB

Ringing at 5k and 7k, along with slow bass

Followed by an elephant taking a dump in the next post....

FOTM and YMMV....

For me, a decent mid-tier headphone + good parametric EQ + acoustic simulation = best headphone ever.

mid tier for me is something along the lines of HD600 or K550.

So do you EQ yours down at 5k and 7k? Also, what's acoustic simulation?

You didn't offend me at all! I love just because they're so slow... in fact, if I'm listening to some songs, the slowness really makes the song (Live songs from Adele are among these).

I think it's something like the Smyth Realizer...

Dolby headphone, or other fancy stuff like Redline Monitor / Isone Pro, they make it so a headphone sounds like you're really listening to speakers.
