Gensomaden Saiyuki (1st Episode from the year 2000)

Anime sure did a lot of progress in design, technique, directing and consistency.

Now looking back at the first Saiyuki, it has lost that sweetness it had when I was watching it as a kid. Now it looks a bit cheesy but it's still lovable.

Although I still remember the OP song till this day. Damn that guitar riff was awesome!

Speaking of songs, the new OP and ED of Psycho-Pass are definitely not as good as the first ones but at least EGOIST is there to stay (will certainly miss Lin Tosite Sigure). Her voice is just amazing.

So which Anime brings back a lot of nostalgia to you when you were little and would you watch it again? (Anime must at least be 7 years old or more).

For me, it'll be Vandread, Detective School Q, Spirited Away, Bakuso Kyodai Let's & Go, Ex-Driver and much more.

I have been watching some old arsed anime these past few days.

Nostalgic:

Evangellion -currently rewatching

Gundam Wing -maybe not

Gundam Seed -already rewatched recently

Cowboy Bebop -no

Ghost I. T. Shell -maybe

Trigun -maybe

Sailor Moon -no

pokemon -nah

naruto-nah

bleech-nah

Not that much anime on Dutch television. Well, actually there was, but it was on a channel my TV could not receive at the time. (Fox Kids).
I didn't really watch that much anime as a kid as a result.

Just some of the awesome kids shows like Medabots, Shaman King (which stopped airing after S1), Pokemon, Shin-chan.
If I'd ever rewatch something... Hmmm. Not really anything mature enough except for Shin-chan I guess.

Or Hamtaro. I suddenly feel like watching that. Maybe I should watch that without subs as training.

Just had dinner.
Salmon cooked in sweet soy sauce.

I hate most fish dishes, but this is one I can appreciate a lot.

Oh right. Metabots, and shaman king and shin chan. I saw all those too. Shaman King became a bore and CN stopped lisencing Hamtaro after a while.

Have I already said that this gif reminds me of video for Windowlicker by Aphex Twin?

The legal system of this country is a disaster. We have lobbyists who wish to protect their intellectual property. Aaron Swartz committed suicide yesterday after being faced with futher negotiations, millions, and decades in Jail.

JSTOR is a database full of research journals. It is the knowledge of the modern world. The researchers that add their documents do not get paid while having access to JSTOR costs a huge sum of money. Aaron Swartz, who studied at Standord and had dealings with Harvard and MIT. He wished to make information that was added for free, to be availble for free to any academic or person who wishes to learn.

That however ended when the legal system stopped him. We can argue about property and law all day but take away the legality of everything. Bring back the fore fathers of the U.S. This man did nothing but try to make information open to everyone. What was his crime? Fighting against a system that may not even be here in decades?

Well, Project phono Preamp is *done* for now. Most voltages are much lower than what Borisu said they would be, I guess my only hope for an easy fix is that I burned up one (or both) of the opamps when making the SMD adapters, since I didn't use a heatsink when soldering them, and didn't let the IC cool down between soldering each leg...

Most OPA's will be fine after doing that. At least, that's what my personal experience tells me.

Don't tell me that, that would mean that there's something more complicated that's wrong with it wink.gif
