Ah, remixes are nice~ I always like it when someone can mash up two songs brilliantly (not saying this one does). It could use a lil work.

But either way, it's undeniable that most H have better OSTs than P.
It's sad really...

Wow... Just finished reading Vol. 5 of Kiba no Tabishounin

Holy Scchiit, was it effin' intense.

From vampires that could metamorphose with other vampires to make a giant monster, to living skeletons that relives their past that was perished 100 years ago.

How can it go more ballsy than that!

I love it! And I can't wait for volume 6! Although I need to wait till July to get a copy because I get them from France by a friend.

I just hope it will release in time. Turns out the Japanese version past Vol.5 doesn't exist yet.

Other mangas that I enjoyed.

Waltz vol.2 and vol.3

I didn't have high hopes for this after reading the first volume (I thought it'll never be as good as Maoh: Juvenile Remix) but whatever, I asked my friend from France to buy Vol.2 and Vol.3 and what do you know, it is excellent! A spectacle of blood and gore but also beauty in killing. Not as deeply philosophical as Maoh but it has awesome action that was otherwise missed in Maoh: Juvenile Remix.

Now onto vol.4 if of course, my friend from France comes back in July.

And that's why I love France, for their mangas. :)

I could get Mangas there that was never translated by groups or released legitimately in English.

The translation from Japanese to French is also often more accurate than translation from groups and also, the quality of the paper is 98% identical to the original. It also includes forewords from the author that is often taken out.

BTW, the mangas here in Indonesia is not worth looking for. 70% of the manga they translate and publish are either extremely shounen or extremely shoujo. Rarely do they publish something interesting.

Also their quality of paper is s**t.

Nope. Uchuu Kyoudai takes the cake.
Imagine something that has been the very climax of your week for 38 weeks already. I was always looking forward to my comfortable Sunday afternoon Uchuu Kyoudai. It's the single most relaxing activity there is for me. While it does not excel in any particular aspect like plot, realism, art or characters, it has kept me hooked for such a long time, and as a result I truly believe that this is the second best anime I have ever watched yet. (second only to Clannad After Story).

Many anime / manga involve cooking but none that I know of as a main one.

Ok maybe there are some. I read but I forgot.

Yakitate Japan is one 100% about baking bread and nothing else.
Moyashimon is about the fermentation process and making fermented food (like soy sauce and sake).
Working!! is about a family restaurant, and food certainly plays a very central role.

No? It feels like a sans-serif font. Not a good one, I agree. There really isn't anything more to being serif or sans-serif than to have serifs or not.

It does look kinda childish, but you know what? It sucks as a comic/manga font as well. What you typically want are thick all-caps fonts with really low letter spacing and a 'hand-drawn' feel. They also typically use differences in stroke thickness to serve as a substitute for serifs to make it more readable.

No, don't buy ethanol. 100% pure ethanol is really expensive, and on contact with air will almost instantly be moistened and become 96%. Additionally, cheaply produced pure ethanol has a small methanol content, which is extremely poisonous to the human body.

Recently I have become better at doing just that, but I still find it difficult. My main points of attention are the lack of 'swing' in normal conversations (changing tone when teasing, that kinda stuff. Hard to explain exactly what). Also, whether or not they raise their voice in dramatic parts, and whether their voice carries a good amount of emotion in cases like that.

No wonder why they always get chased constantly by obsessed otakus.

Because they have craploads of make-up on, as well as being photoshopped to death. This is all because their managers want the masses to believe they are extremely cute to raise their popularity.

I didn't appreciate Elfen Lied that much. It was very gory, yes but it's senseless and cold. That's why I dropped it.
And really, the idea of tearing limbs by invisible hands is the same as torturing the viewer's soul.

When I watched it I was still unfamiliar to anime (was my 4th shows, IIRC). I had nothing to compare it to, and hence found it difficult to rate properly. Should rewatch in a year or so.

They need a lesson in typography/poster design.

That is also why my school always asks the art teachers to do stuff like that. They actually make it look professional.

If the anime is anything like the manga, then it doesn't matter in what order you watch it. There is no overarching plot in any case.

You can't buy 100% pure of anything, it's a matter of how many 9's after 99.n%

I think you can buy 96% pure ethanol quite cheap wink.gif

Pff~

Somehow the lack of that trace of methanol will make it better for drinking... you're gonna die anyway.

Oh you can buy 100% pure bullshchiit though, audiophile cables.

It's a joke.

No you won't die, because it is to be mixed with other stuff to create a liquor kinda thing. (e.g. mix it with orange juice in a 3:1 ratio to create an orange liquor).

It's gonna be expensive in many countries mainly because of tax. 1l bottle of 96% ethanol will cost at least €30-40 in tax alone here.

No, you're missing the point. S2 and S3 is worse in that it lost focus as just cute girls being nice to each other with a bit of comedy to fan service. At least that's what I heard, and that's why I didn't touch them.

Yeaaah IMO the Minami Ke S2/S3 hate thing is just one of random fanbase bandwagons everyone has jumped on because supposedly everyone has some random issue with those two seasons. I watched Minami Ke in full a few years ago now, but I can't remember S2 and S3 being any less funny than S1. The animation quality dropped sure but meh its a slice of life show, it can get away with it.

For me, the recent OVA was worse than S2/S3 which makes me a worry a bit about the 4th season. (Same studio).

But as I said, it's been a few years.

Ohhhh nooooo I really should've followed UTW's release of SSY. ;_;

After a long wait, I've finally watched Psycho-Pass 11 and as many of you know, the ending was very interesting along with Makishima. Interesting bloke, I bet he'll be an excellent Philosophy teacher with all of that knowledge of Sartre, Decartes and others but he does tend to forget Nietzche though, one of the greatest philosopher ever existed.

But here's an assumption.

I don't think it's a spoiler but Borisu think it is... (Click to show)

Something struck me. It's the fact that he's immune from the Dominator, the fact that his coefficient keeps decreasing until reaching 0 in which he starts his final blow. I was certain that he has something going on with the Sybil system.

I mean why is it the exact opposite?

Did he fiddle with the Sybil system?

Does he know something about it that the others don't know?

It's until that I remembered that he said that his Psycho-Pass was always pure white and that enlightened me. He has nothing to do with the Sybil system, rather the Sybil system has something to do with him.

I noticed that (and this is also applicable IRL) killers or serial killers (in Psycho-Pass) kill because of pulsations, they want to kill for their own benefit, for their own pleasure. That's not the case for Makishima. He kills because it brings a benefit to the world (at least that's how the Sybil system sees it), a purpose that even the system sees it as good. An Evangelist that proves its thesis by death. His life is like if fate or maybe the Sybil system made him to be against the system.

Anyway tl;dr: I think Makishima is an interesting bloke and also a peculiar paradox.

Really? As much as I loved the first season, I had problems with even finishing the first episode of second series. Recently started a rewatch because hey, 4th season - skipping it doesn't feel right.
Dropped out on second ep. It's hard for me to remember an anime that put me off so much. Maybe Kampfer, but other than that?

New season:

Maoyuu - Interesting enough.

Oreshura - Yaaaawn. Dropped.

Minami Ke - Pretty decent.

I guess I'll pick up Maoyuu too, since it would fall under genres that I hate/"I hate the moment I saw its promo art".
