@D.C.III

I DON'T REMEMBER JACK FROM THE PREVIOUS SEASONS!! (T_T")

Lol, I actually got work done today! Guess that's what happens when you don't play around on the internet for hours on end... Last night I lived up to my name for @Bowei and played some BLOPS2 on PSN. Today, I took apart a PS2, and worked on Project Phono Preamp (PPP for short) Yay.

I was just making fun. There isn't a overall best system. It is up to what the users want. Some want a more intergrated system.

Pros of Consoles:

Cheap, can run gaming at $200

Very intergrated

No viruses

New updated interfaces

social programs (Xbox marketplace or kinect stuff and PS home)

Voice chat (consoles have most people voice chatting) built in

everyone has the same console when playing online

multi media station for media like netflix or programs

Also has news, and current updates

Cons of consoles

Power, they are weak

The require extra crap like wireless adapters

New versions make people buy crap

Xbox requires live gold subscription

Closed system

Everything is at a premium(20GB's for $40)

Company controls every step of it.

Cons of PC

  • Consoles are "weak" compared to today's PC's in terms of power. But having a system that uses a faster design or chip base (Xbox's is based off ATI X1900T) doesn't mean it is similar to a computer using that card. Games are highly optomized for consoles today. Some games actually have worse performance on PC. The market is so profitable for consoles and where most game dev's are mainly that most games are simply "ported".
  • PC Gamers almost always use type chat. Most games don't support VOIP. Some use external programs but most don't. If some decide to use external program, they have to hope, other people in the place playing are using it too. Typing is slower.
  • While cooperative team playing is more prevelant on PC. Lack of an established voice chat system is a problem
  • Virsues
  • For a console, if stuff happens weirdly, its the game dev's and console company's fault. If something is weird on a PC. It introduces a huge other field of needing to fix what is wrong with your PC. Drivers, Driect X, Open GL, Microsoft 2008 Redistro, Physx
  • Very expensive
  • PC's are multi media too but are not as intergrated. Steam BIG Thing isn't a good alternative.(yet?)

PC pro:

  • Very powerful systems are possible
  • Very expensive also
  • it is also your computer
  • uber multi media options
  • Play in 1080p and with all the eye candy you want. Most X360 games are rendered in 720p. PS3 is half 720p with AA, and half 1080p with no bells and whistels.
  • Much cheaper games, and deals
  • Do what you want with it
  • Upgradeable parts
  • Manly and Glorious
  • Keyboard and mouse and their options for upping Gameplay. Monitors too.
  • Better surround sound/virtual sound IS a possibility. Most don't have a better audio system than what the consoles have but a possiblity of an upgrade is there
  • Options

So yeah, it is all up to you. Some like some  things, some don't like others.

I prefer consoles, just because of price. And easily modability for playing "backups" :D

I can't when it's in Japanese, but it's plain as day in English. That's one of the things I didn't like about anime when my friend was trying to get me to watch it, was most of the ecchi junk shows had terrible english voice actors, which is the only language available on netflix instant stream anime...

Ore Shura is LITERALLY paroding recent and past popular anime. Their characters, the situation of the characters and small things they do.

However , Ore Shura is a bit original. They do the opposite of love. IT is anti love. With parody's. Obviously many anime have anti love MC in it. But few have it, with a school harem theme (think Pet No Kanojo) with parody's and character parody's.

Parody's I have seen (maybe in order)

Futari No elder character similarity possibility

Close characters resemble those of Pet No Kanojo a lot.

Chuunibyou parody

Death Note Parody

Code Geass Parody.

And in between with elements from many other anime

What anime are you talking about? Sounds like good fun!

Oh right, H anime. They are quite bad VA.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Watching OVA Sankarea now.

I googled it and it seems the MC for Sankarea is also the same one for Chuunibyou's Takanashi Rikka.

Her roles:

Rea of Sankarea

Takanashi Rikka of Chuunibyou

Her:

She is REALLY cute by the way.

http://myanimelist.net/people/13639/Maaya_Uchida

I must agree surprisingly. That girl is cute. (End rationalization for why I'm surprised before sounding like an arsehole)

Yeah, one of my used to be anime voice actors was aya hirano.

Notable Roles:

She was a main Voice Actor in:

  • Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka
  • Death Note
  • EyeShield 21
  • Fairy Tail
  • Jyako
  • Kiddy Grade
  • Lucky Star
  • Lupin 3
  • Nuraihyon no Mago
  • Queen's Blade
  • Seikon no Qwaser
  • Suzumiya Haruhi
  • White Album
  • Zettai Karen Children

These are her notable Main Character roles.

Aya Hirano is probably one of my favorite VAs, mostly because I've seen a lot of stuff she's in and I can remember her name lol

If you answerd yes to Code Geass. You will love it. That is if you loved Code Geass

Yeah, she was quite famous. Jun Fukuyama, my most watched VA is even more famous though

HOW IN THE HECK DOES HARUHI HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH GEASS??? THERE'S NOTHING THAT CONNECTS THOSE SERIES TOGETHER!!!

Although I must say they're both in my top 5 list :)

ROFLMAO biggrin.gif

That cannot be more true.

You know those people when they say: "I'm watching it just for the action"

Well I contradict them and tell them that: "Where's the excitement when there's no story? Those kind of films feels so fake to me. Even H is more authentic."

Then their eyes go wide and looked at me like if I came from Mars.

I once convinced my friend who mostly watch P, to watch H instead and it worked.

Lol nice. I actually saw a pr0nz theater in Portland that was playing H one night a week, it said "get animated" or something like that. Cracked me up too. But I didn't have the guts to take a pic of it while I was with my parents..

P is hilariously bad when it comes to story... Then again, some of the H is pretty bad too...

Hmm, if I could figure out how to get photos on to head-fi from the private folder on my iPad, I have some more funny stuff like this. Including the text message chain of one of my friends talking to a stoned girl watching hentai...

Protip: Another good place to get laughs is fakku's comments in their fine selection of manga. I have about 5 really good ones saved somewhere...

Wow, that post was all over the place.. I should get off the internets for tonight...

Yea.... Most people around me say: "You know those Jp? They make some nasty stuff. They actually draw P"

But heck, the story can often be more interesting than the blatantly NSFW parts. I normally skip the H scenes and get right down t o the plot :P.

But either way, it's undeniable that most H have better OSTs than P.

Just watched Minami-ke Tadaima. Haven't watched the others other than the first one. And Tadaima feels like the first one, so it's all good?

In fact, it's quite depressing for me that there's better story in some H than in quite a few of the non-H.

Cough cough Queen's Blade cough cough.

That's just the normal borderline-H pushing anime. The same thing like all To Love Ru anime, despite what bowei said.

Speaking of H with a plot, everyone should go watch Kite. (The H OVA not Kite Liberator). Don't watch it for the H though.

That sounds like the advice for playing Saya no Uta.... Interdasting.

Ah, remixes are nice~ I always like it when someone can mash up two songs brilliantly (not saying this one does). It could use a lil work.

Wow... Just finished reading Vol. 5 of Kiba no Tabishounin

Holy Scchiit, was it effin' intense.

From vampires that could metamorphose with other vampires to make a giant monster, to living skeletons that relives their past that was perished 100 years ago.

How can it go more ballsy than that!

I love it! And I can't wait for volume 6! Although I need to wait till July to get a copy because I get them from France by a friend.

I just hope it will release in time. Turns out the Japanese version past Vol.5 doesn't exist yet.

Other mangas that I enjoyed.

Waltz vol.2 and vol.3

I didn't have high hopes for this after reading the first volume (I thought it'll never be as good as Maoh: Juvenile Remix) but whatever, I asked my friend from France to buy Vol.2 and Vol.3 and what do you know, it is excellent! A spectacle of blood and gore but also beauty in killing. Not as deeply philosophical as Maoh but it has awesome action that was otherwise missed in Maoh: Juvenile Remix.

Now onto vol.4 if of course, my friend from France comes back in July.

And that's why I love France, for their mangas. :)

I could get Mangas there that was never translated by groups or released legitimately in English.

The translation from Japanese to French is also often more accurate than translation from groups and also, the quality of the paper is 98% identical to the original. It also includes forewords from the author that is often taken out.

BTW, the mangas here in Indonesia is not worth looking for. 70% of the manga they translate and publish are either extremely shounen or extremely shoujo. Rarely do they publish something interesting.

Also their quality of paper is s**t.
