Well anyways, the series left me satisfied.

Any other recommendations similar to it?

Blassreiter

Also by Urobuchi.

But watch out, it's some pretty dark stuff.

From what I've seen, maybe Canaan. I've been to lazy to look up the name of a really good one.

Yeah, it is a VERY VERY memorable anime. Not that it was perfect. I give it an 8.5/10, but it sure beats a majority of anime I give a 9/10 in in terms of rememberance and just how enjoyabale and mature it was.

Noir (Not yet finished)

GunSlinger Girl (anime and manga are both very excellent.) (9/10 for manga)

.....Guilty Crown. (8/10 average)

Darker than black (didn't finish, dropped)

Gungrave(10/10)

Canaan (8/10

Death Note (10/10

Eden of the East (8/10)

Code Breaker (8/10 for manga)

Psycho Pass (8.5/10)

Mirai Nikki(8.5/10 manga)

Mardock Scramble(8.5/10)

Elfen lied (9/10 anime)

I personally would recommend:

Gunslinger Girl (9/10_

Gungrave (10/10)

Mardock(8.5/10)

as similar anime's.

And for similar atmosphere:

Canaan (8/10)

Eden of the East (8/10)

The others are also similar anime, just not as similar.

Yes, I have seen too much anime.

Can't believe you just put Elfen Lied a 9/10.

I didn't appreciate Elfen Lied that much. It was very gory, yes but it's senseless and cold. That's why I dropped it.

And really, the idea of tearing limbs by invisible hands is the same as torturing the viewer's soul.

Check out some of those shows.

I recommend giving these a watch:

Gungrave

Guilty Crown

If you like them(or at least most of it for Guilty Crown's sake) then I have much more to recommend you.

I'm uber.

Ah, I remember alot of the anime you recommend. I dropped them in the past because they were either too boring for me at that age, or just uncomfortable to watch in general. I normally stay away from brainwashing because I despise it. On the level of NTR I'd say. I guess I always pity the protagonists too much.

Just like how we can't believe all the other ratings others give. Borisu hates Clannad, others don't care for Code Geass. Etc. We just each have our own fav's.

For my ratings, I apply favorism and overal mostly objectivity for its rating. 60% favorite and 40% objective rating. Where I take a look at how much I liked that anime and then go into what it did well and didn't do well.

Elfen lied is betwen 8.5/10 to 9/10. This is not the Imperial scale.

The manga was terrible. The anime followed the manga up tills its most recent chapter when the anime was out. And that was good. Because the manga went and killed itself.

Well mainly because it sounds so fake.

For normal animes though, I do think the baddies often have bad voice acting but Japanese people are usually excellent at this and here's proof of Dr. Who in Japanese.

Qiute OK for a dubbing job.

BUT I DO!!
And can't find anything wrong with 'em....

LOL This is funny because I was a Dr.who fan at some point in my life.

I guess we have different tastes?

You never mentioned much that you were watching my recommended ones?

NTR? isn't that where the MC goes to another female or male lover than intended? I don't see how that fits then.

What are your fav anime. Let me see if I can whip something up.

Sorry guys, I only know the main fav anime of like 5 people here. Otherwise, it escapes my mind. I know what shows you guys have seen recently but forget or confuse you guys for others. Give me a list and panda will go to work.

You missed the post about you smile_phones.gif lol....

Nobody likes all girls IRL. You may have a problem if you don't like any real girl though. I've never loved one. But I have had like's due to my adolescense and puberty. Nothing that is real though.

Speaking of not knowing happy ends,  Yoshimune Kouki deserves a mention....

The guy who wrote the Muv-Luv series.... His works are almost on par with Gen IMO.
