I usually use 'flat characters" too, but shallow should mean the same. But maybe that's because I'm not from a mainly English-speaking country.

SInce Ika-musume isn't some great story-bound anime, and just a variety comedy show, I don't think I'll be doing any Squid Diary. Besides, 1 cour is kind of short for a marathon diary, and especially a comedy one.

@tilpo It's something I've seen used a lot amongst the aniblogger to indicate anime seasons. I should've observed more and longer, maybe.
LOL Sanae appearing in a shrimp suit is just horrific LOL.

Holy **** the first ika-chan skit came up. That't the 3rd time I've seen it, and it's even harder to watch it now since when they start to go through the seasons together, I kind of know what'll happen.... Always got me in the end. Damn you anime!!!

Dunno. Don't remember, but I usually go for whatever has the higherst video quality.

Episode 21.


Incredibly predictable plot turn makes me face palm heavily, this along with bad voice acting and unrealistic emotional responses of main characters.
I had some hope this show could turn out to be good after all, but this hope is completely lost.

I actually feel angry out of disappointment.

Gauron was kept alive even after having supposed to have died 3 times. And then, wonder above wonder, he escapes and takes over the whole base. Additionally, he has a crapload of spies inside the base.

Really? Are you so desperate to create such a predictable and bad plot twist? I'm incredibly disappointed.

Additionally, during dramatic scenes the voice actors really ruined the dramatic scenes.

4/10 so far.

Yeah my favorite season of FMP is fumoffu just because it does away with any plot and goes full slice of life/comedy. Only Fumoffu and the Second Raid are KyoAni productions BTW. First season was done by Gonzo.
