I JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING!!!

I think I read once that computer parts are not subjected to tax! I think I should check this again though just to be sure.

But if I do ship it, I'm worried about warranty claims...sigh...

OK. So SSD it is LOL

Now I'm confused really. I'm very limited to liquid and fan cooling system

Air Cooling. Closed loop liquid cooling isn't all that good sometimes. For the price it's fine. It can outperform the flagship air coolers which are behemoths and tend to have issues with RAM clearance with RAM sticks that have heatsinks that give them a high profile. I'm having some RAM clearance issues with my memory though and the Hyper 212 EVO since my motherboard is uATX (slightly shorter than full ATX so it's not 9.6" by 12". Something like 9" by 12" which causes the fan on the heatsink to hit the RAM if in a push configuration so I have it in a pull configuration).

Okay, then.

Yes. Remember, SSHD (HDD + SSD hybrid) isn't all that good for the price, and the performance is rather meh. It's also a 2.5" hard drive that Seagate sells it as. I'm not sure if they have a hybrid 3.5" HDD. Also, don't use SSD cache since there's basically no point unless it's really necessary.

I don't get much but... I think I can understand it. FYI, the extreme4 isn't ATX too. It's a bit shorter. The extreme6 is ATX though

I don't think I'll get a hybrid. I'll get the normal SSD+HDD

Ahh... A new member. I guess you should read the OP on how fast this thread goes

Not gonna sleep tonight. I procrastinated my lab report more than enough because of this computer thingy...

Bat **** insanity in saya no uta again, and loving it. Also, while quite obvious in hindsight i was still surprised at what happened at MC's other female friend. Also badass doctor w/ a sawn-off doible barrel shotgun ftw. And occult insanity where they make you queasy even peeking a look at them. This is getting better and better.

Although i feel as if the h scenes kind of intrude and pauses on the horrifying unknown aspect of it. Sure i know what MC is doing his with is an eldritch spawn, but still like MC said, a man can't help be aroused despite knowing that, and i feel confused when at one part the vn is scaring (and enjoying it) me with the unknown, and the next it's telling me to fap. Stop confusing me game!

Wait, the socket is 1155. So that means the extreme4 can be used then? Or I need some specific requirements that actually says "Xeon compatible"?

Sometimes. But none the less it has deals a lot and can get better performance than many air coolers for lower price. Buy what you want, air or closed loop. It's up to the buyer.

There are quite some SSHD's for sale for the same price as HDD's. They also have good feedback. Nowadays, for their price they can be replacements. A 500GB SSHD right now is $68.

It's ATX standard, +- a few cm but it is still mid atx.

Yes that is much better. SSD and HDD. If you have the money

.You just did!??

...lolipops, butcracks and pandas

That was the original one.

You need the correct socket, The correct same exact model cpu support, and native controllers in your case.

It can't jus support Xeon. It needs to suport the model you want. Best to get boards that support it standard. Flashing your bios is quite annoying for most cases.

Sorry about that...

What the... No, not that one. It was different than that. I just can't recall...

This should be challenging

Flashing BIOS? Just to be sure, I won't have to this on a compatible mobo right?

A compatible one from the gate no.

There are bios updates out for more CPU support. You have to check if the mobo you got has the revision update already for the CPU one you want.

For example. CPU X is supported only with Revision 3. The mobo being sold is Revision 1. You buy the mobo. When you get it and boot it up, you have to then flash the bios with the file you downloaded from another computer to revision 3 before the comptuer will actually work.

Ah... flash as in update the driver?

OK.

Looks like extreme4/6 supports E3-1230V2. I guess I'm changing to that then. Let me revise the build

TBH I like the riding more than the driving...
it's so annoying to control everything (from my golf car driving experience)

Riding is more fun, until someone hits you. There's so many cars in America that it's really scary riding motorbikes in the city.

In the US maybe since the countryside is waaaaaay larger than in Malaysia, where it's more woodlands and cramp dirt roads. not all mind you. We're not that backwater of a country.
I'll admit electric cars theoretically are better in the city and if you're going to live in the city only. Going anywhere long distance and needs endurance, fuel cars > electric cars. Theoretically at least.
@twin, not a lot of bikes in Malaysia, mostly because they tend to get run over a lot. Because the drivers in Malaysia is bat **** horrible and insane.

Country driving in my part of the US is great. Most of the roads are paved really well and there's nothing but farmland as far as the eye can see. And the legal speed limit is somewhere around 100kph, but since nobody's around, you can usually go faster. Much faster if you feel like testing out how fast your vehicle can go :)

Initial build was for me to watch my animes/movies/prawns/etc and gaming would be second

Intel Core I5 3570 3.4Ghz (I could go with the cheaper 3550, but I could also go to the more "future-proof" route)
Asrock Z77 Extreme 6 Motherboard ( It was either this or the Extreme 4. Unless you can get something else that has 8 SATA slots, be my guess)
Gskill SNIPER 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz High Performance RAM
Western Digital 3TB Caviar Green HDD (THIS IS A MUST!)
Crucial M4 128GB SSD ( ALSO A MUST!)
CoolerMaster CM690 II Advanced Casing (USB3.0/Window) (Seriously wanna change this. It's really fugly. Can I just change to any case or are there specified cases?)
Corsair HX750
MSI HD7870 Twinfrozr 2GB DDR5 (Not sure about this though)
CoolerMaster V6GT Cooling Fan (Not sure about this too)
Asus 23" vs239h-p (any monitor as long as there's HDMI slot. I wanna play my PS3 on this too later on)
Logitech G105 (I could go with a cheap office keyboard though)
Logitech G500 (same as the keyboard)

Hmm, I would have posted suggestions, but looks like a lot of other people chimed in with suggestions already...

Man... Hella putting in effort building your rig. I just bought random shiit that was on sale and looked to see if the part was reliable or not lol

It really isn't that hard yeah, but if you want a full good setup, compatability and everything is important.

Well yeah I made sure everything worked together but most of my parts were impulse buys

Intel 330 Series 120GB SSD
Xpredator X1 Black, Red (I was desperate... Doesn't look too bad anyway)
Corsair HX750 (Not sure to what should I replace this with. How to know the min power consumption anyway?)
MSI HD7870 Twinfrozr 2GB DDR5 (What other variation you guys recommend? The other variation is from Sapphire. Just a tad cheaper)
Hyper 212 Evo Turbo (Any better suggestion for this?)
