Lol, so you get time off from school, but don't celebrate anything?
Damn, so Asian! Looks good! Too bad I was too busy playing with my MDs to take pictures of our food, we had Ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, ham gravy, green bean casserole, rolls, and this really delicious stuff that I'm not sure of the proper name for...
Yep, got a full suit from Joseph Abboud from my parents. Ill be wearing it for my competitoon at Yale.

Driving is fun, esp. in the highway. Driving sucks whale balls in cities though.
Wolf guy goes insane on you lol

Not so much with electric cars though...
City driving presents its own set of challenges, just like highway driving... Personally I prefer country driving, followed by highway driving, then city driving. Mainly because city driving is soo slooooowwwwwww
+1 to mechy for using intenationale units and not mph.

In the US maybe since the countryside is waaaaaay larger than in Malaysia, where it's more woodlands and cramp dirt roads. not all mind you. We're not that backwater of a country.
I'll admit electric cars theoretically are better in the city and if you're going to live in the city only. Going anywhere long distance and needs endurance, fuel cars > electric cars. Theoretically at least.
@twin, not a lot of bikes in Malaysia, mostly because they tend to get run over a lot. Because the drivers in Malaysia is bat **** horrible and insane.
Well you live in russia. Russia has bat schiit driving

Skipped all 400 posts.
Must be nice spending Christmas with your family, friends and lovers.

@Bowei
What I meant was, it was my sister's wedding day and I just took some pictures of the event. Pretty tiring btw

Is the Winter anime list already out?

Congrats to your sister and happy holiday to you too

the first one is Dec 21, but it's fairly not relevant so the first few relevant shows starts in Jan.

Meh, maybe I'll throw in a link into the OP.

Seems to have more anime than the list in the current revision of the OP. I probably won't update the OP though until the first list from Moetron/Animucharts@twitter is out.

What's your budget, what do you need (besides for the computer. Monitor? Mouse? etc.), and what you're going to do.

Yerah budget matters. Who knows, maybe there are deals for something.

I think that may be a pre built computer though.

For max performance you can find SSD and HDD deals. Get a not as expensive case, fans, and PSU. Those seem to take a lot of money from this build.

A mid ATx case ($40) with a 700W PSU ($50) would be a fine alternative.

My Christmas gift... 150 wire transfer lol. And a grab bag of random stuff and an amazon gift card. Also aurisonics gtfo and die for not making me lucky and giving me something for free diee
post #45683 of 156247
Also, if you're thinking to build a computer, see what you can bring over from the older desktop, if you have a current one. I've always swapped out stuff starting from the first desktop I bought in 1996. Must have gone through 4 cases, 7 cpu's, and assorted other stuff through that time.

Actual budget was about $1k. Dunno now though. Hopefully my father would be generous enough

Initial build was for me to watch my animes/movies/prawns/etc and gaming would be second

Intel Core I5 3570 3.4Ghz (I could go with the cheaper 3550, but I could also go to the more "future-proof" route)
Asrock Z77 Extreme 6 Motherboard ( It was either this or the Extreme 4. Unless you can get something else that has 8 SATA slots, be my guess)
Gskill SNIPER 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz High Performance RAM
Western Digital 3TB Caviar Green HDD (THIS IS A MUST!)
Crucial M4 128GB SSD ( ALSO A MUST!)
CoolerMaster CM690 II Advanced Casing (USB3.0/Window) (Seriously wanna change this. It's really fugly. Can I just change to any case or are there specified cases?)
Corsair HX750
MSI HD7870 Twinfrozr 2GB DDR5 (Not sure about this though)
CoolerMaster V6GT Cooling Fan (Not sure about this too)
Asus 23" vs239h-p (any monitor as long as there's HDMI slot. I wanna play my PS3 on this too later on)
Logitech G105 (I could go with a cheap office keyboard though)
Logitech G500 (same as the keyboard)

LOL. I wonder if there was anything from the first gen LOL

I heard my sister would get a PC from her work. She was generous enough to give it to me. It may be a bit new since she said it used i5. Though I need to know what PC was that...

Future proofing is a joke. Unless you plan to OVerclock, get the 3550.

Extreme 4 if you want price to performance. If you want stablity, MSI and Gigabyte are other top choices. Extreme 4 is very good though.

There haven't been much corelation with green HDD and failing or speed of them but they are generally not 7200rpm. Saves power but sometimes at a cost of speed. Not always though, some green drives are just as fast of read and write.

Not a must for that SSD. There could be deals for other top brands such as Samsung, Intel and Plextor. Crucial is also a top one of course.

Is that a pre buitl computer? If not you can change it of course. Whatever you want. I recommend ones with more than 50 feedback. That way you can be sure nothing is wrong with it.

You don't need a Corsair PSU always. Sure we could talk about reliabiltity and handling OC and gaming stuff but in real life. Either the PSU works or fries in the week under warranty. A $50 700-750W PSU will do fine. OCZ Mod XStream are my choice as they are cheap and have 4 star feedback.

AMD's right now with their 7800 and 7900 cards are pretty popular due to overclockability to the next tier card but hey, its deal season, see if another card from Nvidia is one sale that can do the same thing. But beware, variants of cards are everywhere.
