We really don't mind. I think
I wish Kalbee would get his butt down here so that I can get some of that Canadian goodness up there
That is all I really have.
Lemme give you the long version :
The Atrix : A smart phone revolution. First to use a dual core proc (I think) using Tegra 2 (nothing fancy here)
It had gone through the evolution of android from 2.2 -> 2.3 and it offered really smooth experience. The finger scanner unlock is the true beauty of the phone. What other phone (except Japanese phones) offer such function? None to my knowledge
And so when the next evolution, Ice Cream Sandwich came to being, Motorola promised the update in the 4th quarter of 2012. And waited and waited all Atrix users but in the end, MOTOROLA DROPPED ATRIX FROM THE UPDATE LIST!
So frustrations came to Atrix users worldwide. Curses to Motorola! Atrix users had to rely on ports (ICS & JB fw from other phones, ported to Atrix) which wasn't 100% fully functional
Laggy cameras, no finger scanner, stutters. It was someting that even I had to bear with, until the LEAK came!
Source is unknown of where did this leak came from. Some said it came from a Motorola worker or some sort. It wasn't fiished, just dropped half way. Just like Motorola
And so, with this good news, the guys at Xda fixed the leaked fw up and patched what needs to be patched (it's not 100% complete but is enough for everyday usage) and now, I have installed (flashed) it
Everything seems fine so far. I had to reinstall all my apps, but I don't mind. All for getting back the finger scanner is worth it.
I have installed a leaked ICS firmware design specifically for the Atrix
ALL HAIL XDA!!! ALL HAIL EPINTER (the guy who got the leaked firmware)!!! ALL HAIL UPNDWN4PAR (the person that helped patched the leaked fw)!!!!!!
Just a few days ago Groupon had this deal: $219 for an unlocked Atrix 4G + dock. I would have considered if there was a stable working ICS released for it. You Atrix users are lucky to have that 1 GB of RAM - it's a huge difference over the paltry 512 MB on the G2X.
Gotta finish studying then!! So excited for it
my TI-nspire is put in test mode = no apps and less functions.
