It got better after I upped the primary sound output and the Fiio's output bitdepth to 24bits, but the bottleneck is the Stereo Mix output which is limited to 16bits. This will of course be less of a concern for those with simpler output chains.
That is true.
But my point was that any volume limiting does the exact same thing. I thought that B-Dawk's concerns were in lowering the volume more than once digitally. In reality, the total level relative to full scale is pretty much the only thing that is important. How you lowered your volume doesn't really matter.
24 bits should indeed help, since you need a heck of a lot of lowering your volume in order to get your noise floor up with 24 bit, as long as you have a DAC that can process it. And of course, if the DAC has a -80dB noise floor itself, then there is no point. But usually they are at least sub -100.
Dither is not really a problem, and I find it very weird that you claim to be able to hear a dither on the 16th bit. What you're hearing is probably something else, or your imagination.
Oh, and lowering volume analogically isn't really a solution either. While they should in theory lower the noisefloor just as much as the signal, in practice they will add more noise than by doing it digitally. Not that either of the two is audible in any case. Just saying that audio purist better be removing their pot completely and do all volume processing digitally with 32-bit operations. That way your amp really will
be the bottleneck (assuming that the DAC's specs outweigh those of the amp by a big factor, which is usually the case).

I'm looking for a full release of SSY ED and if a better sounding Psycho Pass OP and ED are availble. OP and ED for Psychoo Pass are a bit fatiguing.
It's still airing. Usually it's a couple weeks after the final before CD's reach JPS as far as I know.

Gezelligheid is the very core of Dutch culture. It's the spiritual feeling of being with one another, whether it be strangers or your loved ones. It is also the feeling of coziness and warmth caused by a gezellig interior. Furthermore a gezellig person is someone who enhances the feeling of gezelligheid of the group.

What does ZIP stand for anyway? I know what postal code stands for, but that ain't very difficult to guess.

Shiina. Love that woman.
When I'll go to Japan (which is according to the current plans in 2 years time in the first half of my 3rd year),
I will make sure that I'll go to a concert of her, and I'll be prepared to dump all my savings for it and travel half across the world if I have to. She is even more amazing in her live performances than she is in her already amazing albums.
