This. In my limited experience.

It depends on price range

I know :<

Though after seeing those pictures of that E07k... lol

In 21 votes I would be eligible for a E07k (which I would give me brother), otherwise I would probably be eligible for E02i (which I would keep).

Assuming other people aren't getting more votes still.

Nice! Didn't know you could speak Japanese, but congratulations on knowing a language I wanna know!

Reason why I'm all for planars. Electrostatics have portability issues.

I don't care about portability!

I was planning on getting some Mad dog T50RPs, I've heard they're very good for the money.

Honestly, I'll spent as much as I have to, it will just take me more or less time to save up depending on how much they cost...

LOL, my mom just teased me with possibly getting some 1964 CIEMs as a graduation present. That would be great since I think I'll probably be doing a bit more portable listening while in college. biggrin.gif

But...

AD1000PRMs are freaking hard to find...

And I've heard the AD2000 has a weird tonality with instruments, which would pretty much limit it to jpop for me. I like jpop, but not enough to spend $700+ on cans that can't do any other genre I listen to well...

Also, your avatar is almost criminally kyawaii!

You sure? A lot of people have in the 20-40 likes range?

The pictures of the E07K from FiiO overglorify the E07K. No joke. Look at my pics I took. Perspective and rendering matters. They made theirs look REALLY nice. Top place is over 300 right now.

Well, my mom was going to originally pay for a pair of 1964-Q IEMs from flysweep to reshell, but I decided I'd rather have open backs since I don't listen to much music portably.

At least my mom isn't a biach about my headphone hobby. Even though she doesn't understand it that well, she acknowledges it and tries to help me when she can...

Also, she got me a 2nd Christmas present already (2 vinyl records, one original Beatles greatest hits album, and the remaster of Sgt. Pepper's that just came out,) she sucks at the element of secrecy... and she already gave me both gifts to use already... >_<

Wonder what my "actual" gift will be on Xmas, if any?

I would actually not prefer that. I like to get gifts early but at the same time it makes me feel out of the action.

Yeah, it kinda does... But I have other gift giving family members... And if it's something expensive/embarrassing I'd rather not show it to other family, especially my hentai uncle... But that's another rant.

Hopefully I can get enough cash for for Mad Dogs. Otherwise I'm ordering ~$150 of Jpop from Cdjapan and Amazon JP...

Also, HOLY CRAP! I returned that 3TB external drive to Amazon, the UPS guy picked it up at 5:00 and I got a refund in 4 hours!!!!

I thought it did well for all genres. It's maybe more a matter of if you like or can stand it's coloration in general. If you're one of those people who listens to a lot of classical music and wants the timbre of the instruments to be "correct," you probably wouldn't like them.

Well, I don't really listen to a lot of classical, mostly just classic rock and jpop... Did they color guitars/drums/ect all that much? And if so, did you like them?
I'm not sure honestly if I like coloration or not. I don't think I've listened to a really good "colored" 'phone. My only frame of reference are the wooduos, which color the vocals a lot and make them sound like ****.

Mad Dogs? They seem to measure very similar to the LCD2's but the Paradox is definitely closer to my base of preference at least from the FR balance.

Yes, once again, FR balance is what I will put emphasis on for now since if you want good tonal reproduction you want a nice FR graph. Timbre, if you'd like.

What did you not like about your HD600 again? lack of treble? Aren't the Mad Dogs in a similar league, considering the LCD2 was known to be on the dark side?

P.S. bowei you "liked" the wrong place. Need to click the picture xD
