Lain was a painful experience.

but the artwork just burns my eyes....
Right: CEO of Hifiman, Ben Fang (is that the name?), left: chief engineer (I think that's what they said? They were speaking Putonghua which I can hardly understand)
Hifiman HM-901. The pinnacle of portable hi-fidelity playback, with balanced output, gain switch and switchable amp module (apparently)--and in front of it all: a 25 step stepped attenuator. *facepalm*
As expected I fell in the cracks between two volume steps when auditioning--and that's the main impression I got.
I asked the CEO whether they would consider implementing digital volume. He said he would consider it, after the product is released and he has received user feedback. He said he's reluctant to implement it because it introduces quality loss. *facepalm*
On a more positive note, they are apparently cooperating with the makers of the Smyth Realiser to bring the Realiser's speaker virtualization technology to the player. Such an unexpected move from someone who otherwise sounds like your typical audiophool playing CEO!
The Hifiman RE-600. Seems to sound as smooth as the MH1C with more balanced sound. All well and good--but for me the left channel was a bit louder than the right. Not for others though apparently. Fit issue?

And yes, your are totally out of your MIND. I'm totally with these guys on that...
From Braind Powered! ANd if you keep your insanity up I might have to pull out the BubbleGum Crisis stuff! The Orignal 80's and the1999 Remake... DOUBLE retro for you behind
Me three :3,

I'm loving the iTunes 11 look, but I've been having issues with iTunes Match.. And rebuilding my library is taking forever! Hope it's glorious once it's finished reworking everything. :)
