I've been talking over PM with this dude for quite a few days on how he should live his life with his amps and DACs and so on. But the point is, today I asked him what he was going to be using it all for and said that he really just may be need it for watching anime on his computer. I don't think he realized that the random person he found(me) is a regular in one...

The OP is not really good in terms of music, since it's spoken word with background music, but the animation is good.

The ED is really good as well, so I'm gonna nominate that one as well.

It was fun though. Gonna get some Klipsch to go with that probably

I just ordered 3 wall mounts from Amazon today. going to mount the Samsung, my Asus and the big boy Samsung next week after my room is painted. Gonna move big boy Galant table and everything into there :)

Early remodel...well, at least you get to enjoy it for the rest of the year.

Big stuff happened today. TV's TV's headphones, UE and everything

Yesterday, Ikea and fixing iPod: (Click to show)

This is how to use correct Engrish.

America...so fricking lazy.

Yeah..never.

My stomache hurt after.

SO MUCH Chicken and BACCCCOOON!

THE murican way

Chi Chi Chi IKEA!1

Wait a minute!? --enhance picture--

Duh, that's an Intel Centri.....what? That is obviously running off of Windows Laptop Props?

The few, the proud, the fox humping a baby fox?

ERMAHGERD!

My table is that size.

My full Galant purchase smily_headphones1.gif

Broken screen up top, new LCD and Digitizer and frame.

Today, Best Buy and new TVs (Click to show)

Best Buy carries UE of course.

Samsung stereo kit with tube amp.

Nice and warm wink.gif ...feeling that is. Never will I pay the $500 asking price for this thing.

SO MUCH FRICKING LOLZ when I saw this. Gratned they are all connected to one computer.

Sony brought out some new outdoors popular cans.

Cool

Needless to say, for the asking price of each of these cans (think Beats era price), I wouldn't buy them.

This really put into mind. We had a discussion in pm with other people that received review samples from Sennheiser and we came to a nice thought. Sennheiser does not have any well priced, good sounding univeral closed headphones. Their HD 25 II is the closest one. AFter that, for $350+, the Amperior and Momentum for the non DJ's really are not a very good sounding headphone for their price. And even the open ones are pretty flat as we can see in thepicture.

I tried them all

As usual, the UE 6000 and HK CL were the best for the price. I would gladly buy it. HK CL sounded better but was more unfomcortable

These sounded alrright.

They sound as god as a $150 good stereo set. But for $600, it is a pass.

So much fun playing the airplane game smily_headphones1.gif

This is a 32" Samsung we just bought.

\

55" Smart TV

ermahgerd

The pictures are all filled with commentary, please take a look, it took me 20 minutes to upload and annotate.

Ugh, coloring was... Umm... Meh...
Awesome! Not sure why you documented all that, but congradulations nonetheless! :thumbup;
Those are 2 of my favorite stores to go to, I always end up going whenever I'm in a town that has one...
Btw does that BB have a magnolia addon as well?

They had those. They have fake TV's and fake Laptops and Dekstop and speakers to outfit the rooms

They are very meh but its cool to play around with it.

Teh thing is, all good HDTV's these days come with online options or access. It came with it so why not. Very slow and hard to use either way. I expected it to be so. LG's is much easier and better to use imo
I can see the use of a smart tv for derpy people that don't have a game console next to their tv and such, but why is it being pushed so much now??? I don't get it lol. Mostly because I have a PC hooked up to my TV...
Also, mine is technically a smart tv, it was really freaky to plug it in one day and have a software update available for my tv...
If it helps, the Ikea in Portland has the fake stuff as well.
Congrats on all your new schtuff. Take pics when it's all assembled?
How much were the wall mounts off amazon?

I have noticed myself too that writing a kanji is an excellent way of remembering it, but I have also found that reading is an even more efficient way. As a result I have stopped practicing handwriting altogether.

Haha thanks for the warm welcomes! I've been around for a while, maybe 2 years or so...Wallet's already been emptied on a K701, HD650, and a pair of IE80s I picked up here on the BST section!

regarding OPs and EDs, Yui Horie's Coloring is one that still sticks with me, heard it being played over Akiba alongside with Nyaruko's ED lol

I know, that's why I asked and called it an addon smily_headphones1.gif
Hmm, I'm probably just really tired of that song since I listened to about 50 jpop songs 100 times each over the summer, and that happened to be one of the lucky ones...
Very nice!

Doesn't Japanese step up once more in difficulty once you're dealing with the ridiculousness of keigo?

French isn't hard. Until you get to VERBs. Gosh. English has nothing on it.

@deadly: thanks!

At my university we're taught using strict keigo in the beginning. To be honest making the switch to direct style verbs was hard. to put it in perspective, tacking -desumasu to the end of every verb and sentence is MUCH easier than having to learn the conjugation for the specific types of verbs (ones that end in -su go to -****a but ones that end in -ru go to -ta) and so on.

That isn't to say keigo is particularly easy however, especially when you have to divide it between sonkeigo, kenjougo, and common teineigo. In Japanese when you're speaking keigo you constantly have to be thinking about what your social position is in relation to others. It becomes second nature with some time.

Speaking is definitely the easiest part of the language when you're up against the monster that kanji is to tackle.

This is exactly what it looks like. New TV plugged into Mac with DAC and amp on the ground with my Q701

Watched Shinsekai Yori and Psychoo Pass. As usual, good psycho pass episode, interesting and very wowing and really interesting shinesekai episode but with the crappiest animation a front page anime has had in the last 3 decades possibly

I'l be able to do this much easier in the future. I'll have speakers next time and it will be wireless streamed instead.

Yeah, speaking is definitely the easiest. Though that applies to most languages IMO.

Nice insight you provided, thanks. I guess the transition is always hard whether from honorific to normal, or the other way around. I never learnt Japanese in any proper way so stepping up to honorific would be the bigger challenge for me. Learning slang is probably harder... way too much references I don't know. Btw, if you do not mind me asking, what country are you residing in?
I kind of envy you guys having Japanese courses available at your university. Mine for one does not so everything is self taught, or rather, piled up from years of deliberate exposure.

Dem 'muricans. Too much money for their own good.
何とかしないと。。。 for now taste me sour jello.

I think bowei is just spoiled. *cough*. Or he does well in school and his parents reward him. Could be either.

Bleh I still haven't get my refund money back yet. Looks like I won't really be picking anything up BF season. Hopefully 1964 ears will have a winter holidays sale or something.. $350 for the v3 would offset some of the customization costs since they charge extra for recessed sockets :c.

I'm currently a sophomore attending Cornell University in NY. To be honest my Japanese study history isn't exactly normal, as a pre-freshman I took an entire year (note: summer AND academic year) where I literally did nothing but Japanese courses from 9am to 4:30pm every weekday. A bit different than the normal freshman but being motivated it was a really fun program!

Basically, in one year I did the equivalent of 3 years of university Japanese; I'm currently in 4th year (normal) Japanese class at the moment. The focus shifted from mainly speaking and reading to pretty much reading, presenting, and typing up papers etc. I just completed a short research paper on Japanese's OLs and their role in society haha

We're currently reading about recycling and how in Japan at least, it may not be the most eco-friendly thing to do:

for some reason the image uploader is making it flipped lol.
