I tried and it was a success! Though not sure if Microsoft actually checks them is everyone's guess

Get it here : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-MY/windows-8/feature-packs
Claim that code, get a copy of W8, use KMS to register W8, get the media center pack and re-activate W8 and WALLA! FREE W8!

Oh, I was under the impression that you absolutely needed one

You actually do need it because your W8 needs to be activated by it before you can use the code. Albeit not legit. Only after you activate the given code you can get a legit W8

Guys, quit freaking out about not finding deals, you're forgetting about a thing called Cyber Monday which hasn't happened yet :)

Also, rightstuf is having some pre Cyber Monday sales, I found chobits BD for $28: http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/4Hm6jCzRTOth7CC8ED/browse/item/90050/4/0/0

and K-ON!! for $49: http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/catalogmgr/4Hm6jCzRTOth7CC8ED/browse/item/97078/4/0/0

And CdJapan is having a sale on this stuff: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/offers/sale/clearance_sale.html?cid=c1

I didn't find anything good there, but you should check it out still.

Also, Jlist has an *Cough* epic *Cough* sale going on of $5 off of $50... >_<

Oh those. Those are easy with new setups.

Basically the only drivers for your build you need to care about is the ones on the CD of your mobo. Otherwise for a bigger build, you will need to get the CD from your mobo, audio driver and video card driver that is if you bought an external video card and external or internal pcie sound device. They will come with the stuff you buy.

Basically in most cases when you first buy your computer, SOMETIMES you won't be able to get online. Sometimes you will. Win 7 has general drivers on its OS that will instal when you first instal the OS, this allows for SOME, parts of your mobo's devices to work with near full capability when you first boot up your computer sometimes or sometimes, not at all as those general drivers won't work. The ones that sometimes won't work are only the very basic ones you don't have to worry about like audio and internet, and that is about all. However nowadays 80% of the time, they will work with general drivers, so not a worry. So how do you rectify that limited or no capability? You put the motherboard DVD into your DVD drive and instal the drivers. Choose carefully, it will usually ask if you just want to instal drivers or the whole everything. I usually choose to first instal just the drivers only BUT then I will then go back and instal the proprietary audio software or Overclocking or monitoring software the motherboard comes with. You don't need to, I just find it nice.

That's basically it. It's not a big deal really. You only need to worry about your mobo being able to support the CPU on first run. You choose the Asrock one which was quite nice (The Biostar one was for AMD sadly)

That is basically it.

What...Bowei, Numbers and also Joe responded to your query you know... I think the last one was that $375 I think.
Then again, ask again LOL

@Mechy
Seems like his VNs work fine. Except for Clannad. This is how mine was:

Clannad - I didn't reinstall it. I just used my previously installed (on W7) one. Sure it played fine, but when I opened it, there was a menu saying that I have to choose the font. I didn't know what to because I haven't installed japanese yet, so I just pressed anything. As a result, my fonts were changed (from the W7 one) to tiny fonts. And I'm not sure how to fix it. I don't want to reinstall, even if by just copying the SAVEDATA is safe

Tomoyo After Story - Works perfect. Even with the W7 installation AND reinstalled again on W8, doesn't seem anything is wrong. No font issue as in Clannad too

No wonder my Windows Store is showing Japanese stuff... I forgot I still had Japanese locale on *facepalm*

I still can't understand why my Chrome won't enable rich text editor?
