It kind of is. But I've got nothing for any pink-colored headphones.
I see. Well I'll see what I can do for KS, but from a bit of googling, 4LS isn't too keen on any sort of ports. Someone even already has the Act 1 ready for beta, but didn't go through because of 4LS's insistence to not care. There's some good arguments made in favor of their (long decided) stand on this, but I can't help but feel sad by this.
Ironically, my 4.2 JB N7 can't do it LOL.
Really? Try holding the volume down and lock for a little bit, like 2 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SN2oZ7ywFNY
Edit: looks like they're starting to watch this thread more carefully, we should Be careful not to break the rules, especially mutiple posts one right after another.
It looked cute enough. Basically half of what I'm basing this purchase on since she's not particularly picky about sq anyways. Though the reviews suggest it clamps quite a bit.
But I digress; behold! The pureness of Fuura Kafuka:
It looks even cuter on the lock screen:
She's so kawaii.

EDIT: I criticised people for posting large images, but I do it myself... So now I smallified it a bit.

And a heads up to anyone with an Android device and feels like paying for some games: the Humble Bundle is doing one for Android. 3 days left.
No. If you remember back, I said that his rants on Shinsekai are "stupid" and how it makes me a bit miffed (understatement, but I think I'm in a bit of a stressful day). It's described as "off-topic" (which is a feat of its own since this thread rarely stays on-topic for more than 3 pages (and that's being generous)). I do think that bowei took that in and just "panda" it out and not care.
Also, I took a look at how to convert VNs into the VNDS format, and one of the requirements is the source files. From what I can tell from googling, the guys looking to port KS either got the source files somehow but respected 4LS's request to not port it in any way, or they haven't got it at all.
The room and treatment is a big part of the deal but this also deals back into headphones. Buy $200 headphones and use laptop intergrated or $100 headphones and $100 DAC and amp. Some choose one, some choose other.
Not really. The proper comparison would be to use random speaker amps/receivers (i.e. cheapest thing that conducts signal) vs. a "proper" one.
One of the core concept of headphones is that the whole listening room would be replicated between your ears and the headphones, which eliminates many reflectance factors due to object positioning and etc. Room acoustic plays a huge role on sound, which is probably why you wouldn't want to set up a audiophile room in a subway tunnel (echo-cho-ho-o-o) or in a supermarket (way too many random shapes and objects in general). Headphones rely on the fact that most people don't have odd growths around their ears + putting the speakers as close to your ears for the least obstruction in sound transmission. Hair and etc. will still affect sound, much like a listening room with tiles will sound different once retrofitted with thick carpet. The differences may not be huge depending on the changes.
This is also the reason why earbuds in general sound worse than IEMs, if at least in their potential for sound. It's because earbuds often blast the sound right at your ear but not into your ear canal, so what you are hearing is largely reflections off your skin. That would almost be the equivalence to a listening room with a lot of reflective surfaces, and a small window from where you are listening to that music from the next room.
As someone who is reviewing amps, you should be able to discern these differences! Ambient acoustic properties != amping.
Though I am not denying the fact that decent speakers anywhere can be better enjoyed than crappy speakers with lots of noise in a acoustic perfect environment.
Yep, it's probably the only IEM I'd buy from now on for SQ.
But I may still get entry CIEMs for the custom art can never get enough of that.
[rule]No-School Monday YAYYY
Think I'm gonna get myself another RAM stick today... Parallels desktop needs it.
and I need to get some stuff for Graph's ABX box too (forgot to do that yesterday...)
Don't you have old/spare shells? You can probably cut them open and just sit the MH1C inside, making sure the parts that go to your ear canal are still the MH1C itself. I mean, CIEMs have a huge portion of space just sitting in visible areas of ears
Because it's all in the head! With enough visualization and imagination and concentration you can also give any headphone/earphone the allure of having soundstage.
Our brain is a processor of a sort, nothing stops us from soft-hacking it! No highly sensitive machines will be able to replicate the BS that goes through our head anyway
With headphones... best not do it if you are a side sleeper. Human heads can be pretty heavy. Even with a pillow, Newton's third law applies.
Exactly how I cracked the cups on some of my headphones =/
