4GB of DDR2 Desktop is $55 which can buy 8GB of DDR3 RAM to 12GB if you budget it right with the budget RAM's.

4GB of DDR2 Laptop is about $70 which then can buy that 16GB DDR3

Probably overly inflated... actually IIRC it would be about $25 to get one 1GB DDR2 stick compatible with my motherboard, and I got my 16GB for $45.

So I guess there's quite a deviation there, but for less than the price of your 4GB sticks, I got 16GB of DDR3

What RAM did you buy? Rebinned RAM for 16GB? Sometimes those are of poor quality.

Damn.... That is pretty slick. What are the specs of your system again? Can you post it in this thread? And we can continue our tech stuff in there?

Posted. Though I don't have much. I'm probably going to be getting a barebones CPU/Mobo for as cheap as possible that supports DDR3 and SATA III in the somewhat near future.

What?

I can't believe DDR2 memory is so expensive. You need to upgrade next year with some nice new swag or something?

No...just looking at the price for the 3TB USB 3 drive that they had. Pretty fresh! And DDR2 memory is expensive because nobody uses it and they can jack up the price for people who still need it.

Here I am, at 4 am, sitting at my desk with my table lamp on, everyone's asleep, me watching the TGS podcast. And suddenly I imagined that some crazy-ass eldritch being burst into my room screaming un-noise at me, turning my brain into mush after I've gone insane from just looking at it. All with the genuine emotion of dread and utter despair. Absolutely thrilling and I want more...

If anyone is not satisfied with the pace I'm going at, I can email you the files and you can continue working on it at your own pace :)

Lookin' Good!
BUT:

1. The RCA connectors are too close together, give about 30mm between the centers (maybe more). Otherwise it'd be hard to pull them out.

2. The standoffs are suppose to stick out of the PCBs not the bottom. LOL

3. yes, the headphone connector can be moved up a bit.

Ok, I'll move the RCA and headphone connectors around a bit more next time I work on it...

Wait, what? Do I have all of the standoffs upside down?
