Here's a .dxf of the Obj2:Obj2.dxf.zip 649k .zip file
You can import that to SW as a 3D model, though I'm not sure how I'd turn out and I can't try it because my lappy is too slow to handle it. (it just crashes.)
(Exported from google sketchup DL'd here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=acc5df7632450e8422c3f5df25525a13)
The mounting holes are located here:
(seems random, I know. I'm sure nwavguy has a good reason for doing that.)
I'll see what I can do about the DAC PCB.
No one here today :( Me sad
Rant time on Ano Hana (not yet done)
I find that how they did the series was fine but also flawed at the same time.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I was cringing for many episodes as I kept wondering why Menma didn't interact with the friends or the MC didn't even try to prove or tell them physically that menma was there like he did later. The series played this off by saying that both of them weren't smart enough but that is not the case. The MC had plenty of time to just say "hey, here she is picking up these bag of chips now floating in the air" or etc etc. Or like she did, write a note. They played it off like that with a whiff of the jacket. I can understand why though. They could have taken the series either way. They could do a more generic series where it was easy to tell that the MC would have revealed Menma to everyone, and thus we would have 5 or 6 episodes of fooling around and the friends talking about their feelings for Menma, what went wrong, what they were going through, their true feelingss and in depth characterization. This happens very often and then we end with a good ending. I liked how Ano Hana took it a second way though even if it was cringe worthy, it was original. Where they purposefully delayed the release of Menma. This could show us more and more about trust in each other and how the friends come together. How and what they will go through to believe or not believe, to fool themselves while hurting the others around them. The info we get from this one generally wouldn't be as much as the info we would get otherwise, but so few shows take it this way that I find it welcoming.
So while the show took a different somewhat *facepalm* direction to its series outlay, it was done tastefully and I don't really mind and actually liked the whole journey. Now onwards to more Ano Hana
Here's what I have done on the unit. On the back is the DAC board, the board next to the POT is the control board... I'm assuming? And the thing floating in the air is the O2 PCB I still need to finish. I might have you check my measurements on that when I'm done borisu because I did some maths in my head for the placement of the screw holes, but somehow they look wrong.
Anyway, there should be a near final version sometime very soon!
I don't know if this is just because it's still a work in progress or not, but you know that the volume knob is supposed to be off to the right side and not in the center like that right?
Not as accurate as yours of course, just a very rough sketch of general layout. I believe this is what we had all originally agreed we were going for though.
Can you re-post the internal board placement sketch too?
It's for my own reference
I posted the Obj2 board.
I tried to vectorize the DAC board drawing and import it, but didn't work very well.
So i'll just have my manully measure the board and make a sketch when I get home.
This one I think? O2 and HDAC need to be switched around of course.
If it fits, I guess it doesn't really matter. Whatever is functional and most efficient. It's just a rough sketch I made to show that the PCBs can fit inside the inner dimensions of the case.
