Overdrafting is spending more money than what's in your account.
For example, trying to charge $250 to your debit card if you only have $200 in your account. You would have a $50 overdraft in that case.

Chase bank is a branch of bank like a company, like in china.. i don't even remember china bank names. US Bank, PNC, Chase, Huntington are companies that offer banking services.

Well chinas communist so their mostly government run, but Chase is basically equivalent to like the farmers bank or merchants bank.

It is different. Credit means you are paying out of credit, debit means out of what you gave them. I can't do that yet and plus this is a co-signed account. 

I think I get a check book that I would then just give to the bank myself or to her when she goes to the bank.

The legality sees it differently. To get around the legality of this, you have to have your parents co sign and so the legality of it is seen as your parents holding that debt.

Basically it just makes our lives easier and I can order tenga.

As opposed to a credit where you first buy and then at the end of the month the banks asks you for money. If you always pay on time, you get a good "credit". See how it works now?

You don't get a checkbook with a credit card... you don't even get a bank account with a credit card....

Like where do you think a checkbook draws money from? Your personal stash of cash under your bed and then it magically disappears from your stash and appears in their vaults and your balance is paid off?

I don't really get the checkbookthing yet. We need to talk to the bank or something first. Whatever it is, I get to buy tenga.

And yes, the legality is if you fail to pay your credit card payment your parent's who have a good credit score a liable for your payment. On the other hand with a bank account and debit card (which you are allowed to set up underage) you pay with the money you deposited in the bank? And you can, oh I don't know if this is the 100th time I'm mentioning this, have them prevent you from ever OVERDRAWING how much money you put in so you never go into debt so you never spend money you don't have and the bank is never at risk of losing money..?

You don't understand what or how a checkbook works and yet you assume a credit card is your best answer?

Basically they work on trust. And honestly. It doesn't make a difference. Right now I hold on to all the online assets. I have the password to the paypal, Amazon, newegg, ebay, and a variety of other stores with the credit card already pre loaded. I just check with them before buying anything and sometimes my 10-20 calls because of a super deal annoys the hell out of them. So it's no different really. And it's getting hard to know who's money is who so she just wants to get it over with. 

So yes, I can buy that game I wanted. That TV on sale right now that looks cool if I wanted or tenga. It doesn't really matter, it is just hard for her to keep track of who's money is who's.
