「Official」Asian Anime, Manga, and Music Lounge - Page 2690

I just downgraded my ratings for SZS from God-tier (10) to Genius-tier (9) except S1 and the BD special that came out earlier this year. Too much time passed that I can barely remember it, so I have to downgrade the ratings a bit. S1 still gets God-tier since it basically restarted my love for anime.

I hate how that happens. Time downgrading. I like to rate series just as I finish it so that the full impact of the show which is also that show's quality will be put into my rating. And thus Code Geass for both Borisu and I are top 10 with that scale.

If bowei acts up again, I'll just use some choice Mio you posted to circumvent his destructive ways.

While I absolutely love SZS, I think it's excellence lies more in how I can enjoy it after watching it. When watching the anime itself it was more on a 8/10 level, yet I'm still a large fan of the series.

Yeah, I hate it too. Months after watching it you look at MAL and see 'huh? that show has a 9/10? WHY!?'. That's why I never touch any of the scores EXCEPT for the 10/10's. Those are special.

However, I personally have often less emotional reactions to a show than others. So I'm less prone to either love or hate something; I tend to be closer in the middle with everything. As a result I have a fairly even distribution in the scores that I give to shows, in contrary to many others. Like you can see in the ratings for a lot of shows on any site similar to MAL.

As for manga, I still hold many of the manga that I loved absolutely. They may include Shin Angyo Onshi, bitter Virgin and a whole slew of others. 

 

I got another Anime thread (OCN) member to read Bitter Virgin yesterday and it's on his Top list of all time now.

The last 7 days have been rather awesome in terms of music.
I've been enjoying listening to music more than modal last week. Normally I really like listening to music, but for some reason this week had a different feel to it.

That is diverse in nation, but they do have a demographic to it.

Good question, I can't really recommend anything, since only recently I've started listening to the albums themselves instead of just songs (if you want album recommendations).

I want albums thanks :) And what sites to get them in case JPS or whatever doesn't so I don't have to spend time looking.

@CIEM art. If you don't want something related to anime but not overly animeish I would suggest something like a symbol like the Black Knights emblem bowei is always going on about, or the sunglasses from Gurren Lagann etc etc.
