Holy **** seeing happy-Chiri's face is like feeling sunshine after 4 days of gloomy, cloudy winter days.

K-on wasn't my favorite, AnoHana was, and ToraDora second. Actually, those two shows both got the very rare score of 10/10. Though ToraDora has been revised to a 9 eventually, because it didn't live up to the other 10/10 shows.
In truth, my K-on fanship slowly build up after watching it. When I watched it I was thinking 'what the hell am I watching' (it was my first ever high school SoL), but I grew to love it because of all the doujinshi's of it (yeah, I know).

It's famous amongst the Otaku's is what it is famous for. The mangaka died before he finished the I.S LN so we won't be seeing too much more anyway.

Wow seriously. Ano hana. Never guessed.

I now have Tari Tari and Chihayafuryu downloaded. I'm guessing Chihaya should be the starting point?

I don't think its good to compare shows. I just rate shows with how I liked it. If I was to rate Code Geass critically it would also get a 9 from me but I just love it so much. And rating all the other 9's against each other wouldn't be fair as some obviously wouldn't be pitted against each other if I put it on the list.

I remember the dirty sock pic EVERY time we talk about K-On. I don't know why.

ToraDora was fantastic, when I rewatched it last month I didn't expect me to get so drawn in. The last time I was so drawn in on a rewatch of an anime was with Code Geass. That is it. I loved every episode of ToraDora and half marathoned it during the week day with 3 days to finish it.

This reminds me of Somemanga's wallpaper thread. Posts and posts of wallpapers, and since recurring posts by the same person will be merged together, some times 1 posts can contain up to 100 wallpapers. Glorious days.

This is really a good oppurtunity to troll but I don't really feel like it so nah.

Have you guys ever wondered who checks these new image galleries. I may guess that the admins have at one point checked an image gallery to make sure it was clean but ours are so big and slow loading.

I'm not comparing shows, but my definition of what a 10/10 is changes as I watch more and more amazing stuff. It's as simple as that. 10/10 is jawdroppingly amazing to me, and I only rate things as high as that when I truly believe they are a magnificent masterpiece. 9/10 would mean extremely good, but just not quite 10/10. 8/10 is very good, but left me cold at certain points. 7/10 is good, below average, but still good. 6/10 is below average and barely worth watching, but still worth it in the end. <6/10 is something I should have dropped but failed in doing so for whatever reason.

Chihayafuru was excellent, start with that. I personally dropped Tari Tari after the pilot, so I wouldn't know about that.

Ok. I'll watch Chihayafuru after I finish the last release of Chuunibyou.

I have those shows as well. I don't choose to use the Imperial scale as nobody else uses it. It is much more accurate and easy to place shows on the number line as 5 would just be the majority of anime I have seen but it would be hard to use it as an comparison or anything for others.

Apart from that last image I think this is good enough. I'll let it stay.

But let me tell you, once you aggravate me sufficiently, I will dump my entire Mio folder (all wearing K701's, of course).

I just downgraded my ratings for SZS from God-tier (10) to Genius-tier (9) except S1 and the BD special that came out earlier this year. Too much time passed that I can barely remember it, so I have to downgrade the ratings a bit. S1 still gets God-tier since it basically restarted my love for anime.

I hate how that happens. Time downgrading. I like to rate series just as I finish it so that the full impact of the show which is also that show's quality will be put into my rating. And thus Code Geass for both Borisu and I are top 10 with that scale.

If bowei acts up again, I'll just use some choice Mio you posted to circumvent his destructive ways.

While I absolutely love SZS, I think it's excellence lies more in how I can enjoy it after watching it. When watching the anime itself it was more on a 8/10 level, yet I'm still a large fan of the series.

Yeah, I hate it too. Months after watching it you look at MAL and see 'huh? that show has a 9/10? WHY!?'. That's why I never touch any of the scores EXCEPT for the 10/10's. Those are special.

However, I personally have often less emotional reactions to a show than others. So I'm less prone to either love or hate something; I tend to be closer in the middle with everything. As a result I have a fairly even distribution in the scores that I give to shows, in contrary to many others. Like you can see in the ratings for a lot of shows on any site similar to MAL.

As for manga, I still hold many of the manga that I loved absolutely. They may include Shin Angyo Onshi, bitter Virgin and a whole slew of others.

I got another Anime thread (OCN) member to read Bitter Virgin yesterday and it's on his Top list of all time now.
