I'm never going to run SolidWorks on Parallels desktop again....
it's a total nightmare..... (bowei, you can try this.)

 

So anyway, I'm just going to use the software that outputs the manufacturing plots directly

(i.e. controls machines like CNCs, Laser Cutters etc.) It's a 2D design software.

but then....

 

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. WHERE'S THE MAC SUPPORT???

THERE ISN'T ONE!

 

I don't have a PC and don't want to run parallels....

 

I just.. want to read books. :x

 

I need to get myself a PC....

It'll probably be ok since it doesn't have 3D...

Ok so can I get easier measurements to work with? I CAN'T tell what all those lines comming from the black drawings are!!??!?!

Sigh~ this happens when ever I run parallels....
and I already upgraded to 6GB RAM

 

I'd like to think I'm pretty good at drawing/modeling ect. I'll try and have some logos made up soon, I'll be busy with life and death note until Wednesday though.

Maybe use Command+Q a bit more? That wouldn't help much though, some of those still go into Inactive :(

I've been looking for one too, just saving up a bit before putting down the money. I'm aiming for the Nexus 7 since I've had various times to experience the iPad (all latest 3 prior to ipad 3.5) and found out that it's just a tad too heavy for my uses. Sure the screen is nice, esp. for iPad 3, but being practical, it's too heavy for me (going to be reading it in the subway with one hand on the handrail, it's going to get tiring for one hand holding the iPad; using it for reading ebooks on my bed lying down, the iPad's going to smack into my head frequently I imagine; bringing it to classes for the lecture notes, they have kind of small tables all places, and I still have to take notes on paper :s)

That's how I justify going for the Nexus 7 lol. TBH I want the iPad, but like I said, it's too heavy, and the iPad Mini is still an outlier and unknown for me. And I don't like being an early adopter. Besides, it'll be updated with a better screen next iteration so it's better to wait until then to see if Ipad Mini took off.
