If you had to choose between Heir products or 1964 ears, whoch would you choose. I see the V6 are getting most of your attention here.

Any impressions on their sound sig?
Also, after an hour and a half of downloading/installing clannad from chase's setup file then SFTPing all the files onto my iPad, I now have clannad installed and fully working on my iPad!

So my V6 should be in the process of getting made, and I also had a nice conversation today with Vitaliy about the V6 and what he was going after with its sound. He made it clear that the V6 wasn't tuned to be highly analytical like let's say the Etymotic. But the tuning (and special balanced armatures used) was done in order to deliver a reference signature "that's made to appeal to audiophile listener." He said reviews by current V6 owners that the sound is pointing toward warmth are accurate, but also that the CIEM is not ruler flat but are designed to point toward neutral. Bass in the V6 is meant to be more extended and punchy rather than somewhat boomy sound of the Quad.
Now, the sound may be a little bit different than some of you my come to expect. Vitaliy said he tunes his CIEMs to what he believes sounds good (as an audio engineer and artist), and not to meet expectations of some "graphic chart." From the conversation, I gathered that anyone who has heard the Miracle might find the V6 in that stream sound-wise, yet with a character uniquely of its own. I have more to post from Vitaliy's and I lengthy conversation later. By the way, he's very busy and I just happen to catch him at the right time (barely). So I'm not saying the rest of you can't catch up with him, but he did say he hasn't found the time to directly respond to emails like he use to, although he still tries to personally read as many as possible for suggestions and thoughts about the products. He hopes that people will understand that there is no intentional slight, and he will personally be more available when things calm down a bit. I suspect things are about to heat up more though.
Now I must get back to work, but more insights from the mind of Vitaliy in the near future. Happy listening.
I haven't really looked into the heir's all that much. The similar price range would probably be the 4a, but iono, I'll decide eventually too swamped with studying right now to do any major research. seems like the v6 is designed to be more neutral.

I don't think I mentioned it, but last week I was in a car accident (yes again). This time it wasn't my fault, some guy changed lanes into the side of my car. The guy from the insurance company came out today and looked at it. Total loss. I've only had this car for like 3 months after replacing another car which was a total loss, now I'm going to have to find another. And it's not like it's physically totalled or anything. There are just some dents on the side, but fixing them costs more than the worth of the car apparently so...
Plus today I got dragged into one of those fishy pyramid scams and $99 has been charged to my credit card for a "background check." Even though I knew it was a scam while at the "interview" I ended up just doing everything they told me to and filled out all my information on a bunch of forms and signed stuff. I have a weak personality and no social skills...
And because of all that I didn't have any time to practice drums or guitar today, nor did I get any homework done...
Today was a good day. (=_=)

That sucks! what an @ss
Hm... guess it's hard to claim insurance without evidence.
but I don't see what's wrong with driving a car with dents..... I mean the car is functional right?
Wow... no offense but you may just be one of the most gullible person I've met.
How did they approch you? Couldn't you have just walked away, completely ignoring them?

Haha. Well, it was an accident and beyond anyone's control, so I'm not mad at the guy. It's more stupid how they're gonna throw away an entire car because of some dents in the side and a broken mirror which apparently costs more than the car itself.

I don't get it either. This world is stupid.
Yeah I know. Well, it's not really that I'm gullible per say. I knew it was a scam the whole time I was there. But like I said I have a weak personality and no social skills...I just ended up doing everything they told me even though I knew it was bull. I have a propensity to rant and express myself online or through text, but in real life face to face conversation I'm useless. I have a subconscious psychological need to please people and am afraid to disagree with them.
A guy who used to go to high school with me and who shares mutual friends started chatting me up on Facebook a few days ago. I thought to myself, well I guess it doesn't hurt just to go check it out. I now know that guy was lying through his teeth though. He made it sound like something completely and utterly different than what it actually was when I showed up there.
