So I finally finished playing Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3. Simply awesome. IMO, it's waaaay better than the anime version. In the game, Welkin isn't as an airhead in having feelings for Alicia than i the anime. Some of the scenes are different than the anime version, but everything's there

 

Some of the key differences :

 

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

 

- There isn't any love triangle between Alicia, Welkin and Faldio

- Welkin proposed to Alicia during the battle with the Marmota

- Faldio died with Maximilian to redeem himself

- There was no such character named Ramal in the game, thus Isara had no romance story

- There was an aeroplane. Though you can't use it

- Welkin and Alicia married and had a daughter named Isara

- Largo married Varrot

- Zaka didn't replace Isara as the tank commander, instead another guy replaced her. Zaka handled his own tank

 

Most of these happen at the ending. In between are very minor differences

Oh yeah, haibunyan, might as well go ask LFF about the Paradox. Contrary to what you may think (since he's an MoT) he's actually pretty evenhanded with a lot of things.

Microsoft have been doing marketing using anime-style characters since Windows 7 IIRC. Maybe Vista. Also anything from Kotaku I deem as nerdrage bait. That's how they make money.
