I donnooooo.

But when I'm out and about, I'm more worried about not stepping on poo or not getting hit by cars, rather than accurate reproduction of sound. tongue.gif

At home, the SR-007 do great, they don't annoy me, and that's all I've ever wanted in a headphone to be honest.

I think I've reached the point where when your gear becomes good enough, you start to not care about sound quality anymore, and only care about the music.

And here i was semi reviewing all the gear in stores like a newb. I need to get on deadlys level frown.gif

I tried a Yuin PK3 (I think), it was okay until the connector died a few weeks later, what a waste of $60. frown.gif The ibuds are much more durable.

LOLOL I will give ibuds that. They take a beating and keep getting back up for more terribad playback!

Project-H

Project HybridCore

Project Hybrid

Project Haiburi

Project Starving High School Student

And those might just be the most common ones, excluding Project-H with H meaning...well, you know...

I say just stick with H. It's ambiguous, is up to interpretation, and has definite meanings which only we can understand all at the same time. Anything with the word "hybrid" sounds like a tube/ss amp. There's already an amp with "starving student" in the name as well.

Plus it's an absolutely charming name for an electronic device. I wouldn't mind having that written on the front panel. In cheesy cursive font, haha.

Haha, I don't have to worry about that. I have swim practice almost every day.

Same here, the food is good and can be inexpensive but the heat during summer, I could die from it.

Pretty sure there were at least 2 people that showed up in the photo more than once. Both were guys.

Lol I actually barely eat anymore. I struggle to finish a burrito and it takes me two meals to finish the food I get from work. There are 4 people that showed up evenly in all the photos but I give up you guys are never going to believe me anyways and trying to troll for and extended period of time for an epic reveal later that I'm actually a dude seems like its not going to work; so JERKFACEPOOPHEAD dayofcalm was telling the truth, hes my friend from high school who decided to pay me back for telling everyone in the summit-fi thread that he was a harvard student.... even though his location says cambridge. Honestly who lives in cambridge, says they're in college, and isn't at harvard yo!

I typically pay five times that for a shabby student meal.

Well its 10 RMB whenever I go to China and visit family over the summer unless I actually go into a restaurant but usually I just eat at like family run shops that are yummy since I prefer home-cooked food anyways.

And sadly i wish to announce that with the solo hds side by side, the vmodas share MANY Sonic qualities present in the solo hds

Well I'm getting my m80's tomorrow I'll let you know what I think of them! For the price and the awesome aesthetics though I think they're worth the price. Just not super high tier audiophile stuff I guess?

LOL! How's your imouto btw?

We should get an artist that can make a logo that shows "Project H" but able to show a crap load of abstract meaning.

We call him Haiby.

BTW, go and crop your avatar photo. Hate to see that white

YES I KNOW I HAVE A STOCK SOUND CARD OKAY ITS TOTALLY NOOB BUT I DONT WANT TO BUY A DIFFERENT ONE. Partially because I think my PCIE slots might be finicky and don't want to make a $200 purchase to realize it isn't going to work at all.

Also I will. eventuallly..... crop that. When I'm not feeling lazzzy.

Spitting dat mad truth. One day I'll get there! Also. the new ibuds are pretty good. The ones that come with the iPhone 5. They're not fantastic with base but pretty good with details. I didn't listen for that long on my roommates though.

Brb like 1 hour going to watch Dexter that I missed Sunday.

Oh and. Can we just call it Project Avalon:H

Except this amp doesn't have an inductor in it biggrin.gif

It would've been a really good name for a tube amp with output transformer.

An awesome post by MuppetFace:

Therein lies the problem. Head-fiers can err in numerous ways.

Do we accept that there are objective standards?
-> If no: fall into absolute relativism, a contradiction. Meaningful conversation ultimately impossible.
-> If yes: do we recognize the "correct" standard?
-> -> If no: mistake something like treble tilt for being neutral. Support ****ty headphones
-> -> If yes: argue with morons and get frustrated. Come to changstar.

Do we accept the validity of subjective experience?
-> If no: fall into absolute authoritarianism and jerk off to nwavguy.
-> If yes: do we recognize preferences being separate from objective standards?
-> -> If no: claim neutrality "fails to capture the soul of the music." Support ****ty headphones.
-> -> If yes: argue with morons and get frustrated. Come to changstar.

The one thing I still don't get is how lately it seems to have become trendy and "intellectual" to bash Nwavguy. Not that I particularly care about defending him, but it seems to me none of these types of comments are justified or make any sense. I don't ever remember him denying the existence and separation of personal preferences in any of his articles, or "falling into absolute authoritarianism." Maybe I'm remembering wrong. My guess is that it started out as some kind of misplaced and nonsensical emotional reaction.
