Gold is part of the fun. Seriously. You may think that you are poor but it's intentional. The game forces you to use crafting, dismantling, and selling and haggling prices to make money. I made 4000 orens at level 8 in about an hour from the diagrams and materials that I had.
Yeah. White Orchard, Velen with the Baron may seem like you've already finished 50+% of the game....but nay. If you were to say even finish all the question marks, quests in those two areas...you finished less than 10%. Oxenfurt and Novigrad are massive cities...and then we have Skellige....and this is all only part 1 of the entire three part act.
But the grinding is supremely tedious though. I get the crafting, I've done that quite a bit in DA:Inquisition, but the fact that you have to constantly go back to get more is just so boring to me. Already have enough "gameplay" just trying to get the right materials to craft equip or potions I need. Not to mention fixing equipment uses quite a bit of it, took 71 gold just to fix my base Silver Sword. Wat
