I've been using a Mac for over 8 years now and I don't ever plan on learning it.

The syntax looks ridiculous TBH, even bash scripts looks slightly better.

Welp, first impression matters. I rather trust my taste and instinct than reviews :P

Eureka seveN is a good example of great first impression to me. 交響詩篇 (its kanji title, eng translation would be something like "symphony poetry"), put this title together with some cool robots riding skateboards in the sky, I was immediately interested that time...

I've heard mostly just "pairings", but it's not impossible that "ship" is just used by let's say, fujoshi more than the rest.

Yeaaah both seasons have good songs, my favourite would be s2 OP.

The settings is a bit problematic but still overall nice show, and animation quality has been solid and stable :D

Despite of having super low expectation of something like Symphogear or Dog Days before airing, I am quite convinced that this show is at least good stuff since few weeks ago... such maturely planned plots and flow

Watch Bebop lol. My avatar demands it =P

Cross Ange is a great show. It's like they decided on everything (and i mean everything) they wanted to put in there, the styling, the direction, the pacing, the setups, then decided just how much trolling/homages of/to prior animes they wanted to do, and then masterfully assembled it. Maturely planned is absolutely agreed with here. Everything about this show is calculated. I'm really glad i gave this one a shot thanks to ppl in this thread.

The only language I know enough is VBA for MSOffice, which has been immensely useful at work. Applescript seems a bit more common language intuitive, but its really all about getting used to stuff I guess. Maybe i should pick up another language when finally have some off time. Maybe one of those like php that everyone raves about?

Well for general purpose programs, I'd recommend Java or Python because it will run on both *nix and NT systems and has tonnes of libraries available.

Personally I don't like python's syntax because I'm used to writing C/C++ but don't mind me :p

PHP(with Javascript) is generally used for writing dynamic web pages.
