Wait, OPA228?  Never heard of it.  Do you like it better than the JRC?

The GR07 is above $150, the TF10 is $99 on 1 day per year for 15 minutes until stock sells out, then the flippers sell them for $130-$140 for quick cash, you have to stay up until 5 A.M. just to get one.

Everyone I know likes the GR04 Flagship better than the GR06.  The GR06 model number is higher since it was made years later, indicating chronology, not sound quality.

Burr Brown OPA229 by Texas Instruments.... ? There are many people haven't heard of before.

JRC? What's that. The amp in the NFB?

Everyone except people that don't go into long discussion threads other than this one.....meaning me haha :)

Anyway, I'll head down to the NY store when it's finished and give everything a good listen!!! :) (✌゚∀゚)☞

And then decide what my course of action to buy will be. Currenlty, I'm looking at some M-80's for $150 after the M-100 comes out. I can't afford an M-100 but an M-80 or T50p by Beyer may be in my budget for my next headphone portable :)

See if you guys have anything you like. You may get a bargain.....but mostly.. The pictures got me. Post #8 is relevant.

JRC was the brand of OP-Amp's that was supposed to be used in the Obj2
I used a BB chip instead. (not that it would make a difference) and it was more expensive too...

Yep some of the caps in your Obj2 was once sitting in that pile...

(Waiting to have their legs burned and chopped off... poor things...)

WTH!

I desoldered another one. Used very little force... And it just broke in half. I don't even know what to say anymore.

I'm blaming these caps.

Lol.

Learn to organize stuff.

I did find some random spare caps by the way.
It said "BC 104" on the body. The capacitance function of my muiltimeter is very unreliable, so I have no idea what the actual value is.

Well, can't argue there, the M-80 and Tesla T50p probably sound better than some random Vsonics. =p

....... meh. I know of OPA's more than I do JRC's. A Burr Brown by Texas Instruments isn't bad either.

My people!!!!!......those poor...pooor things :(

I need to tighten the volume knob of the O2, it wiggles. The screw beneath it is loose...

Time isn't even the issue anymore.

I have gained infinite patience a long time ago, regarding this project. wink.gif

What are the shipping costs?

By the way, are those multilayer ceramics?

Oh so it was you haha.

op-amps really do make a difference, I have done semi blind tests, so have some people on diyaudio.

I'll need to go and demo them :)

Not to mention using IEM's means I'm more able bodied and can move around easier....which is not what you want me to do. I let my string of my earphones catch on crap and just go about my day normally and have my dog jump and tear it out by accident. IEM's ....need to be learned and fit my lifestyle >_<

I've been using this setup for the pst 7 hours of gaming

Computer-->Song in foobar(lossless cd ripped)/GAME-->WASAPI-->optical out-->Optical cable-->NFB 12.1 dual WM8741 DAC--> OFEC RCA cables--> Objective 2 amplifier w/ Burr Brown OPA 2228-->headphones

So far it's been working well.

Yes, I know they make a difference, but its so small that the difference is negligible in the overall listening experience!!

@Kiteki

Not sure if I want or need them...although the price is pretty nice :(

@Borisu

congrats

Actually, I'm re-watching a few series that I enjoyed, and some that I haven't seen yet.

Also, watch this video, I laughed my a** off.
