Angela Aki and her album BLUE is rocking my world right now. Two years later even.

"Fun" facts that absolutely no one wants to know and/or needs to know. And the way you write them....
Writing thousands of songs, knowing, meeting and working with the most amazing people, owning the rarest things, being amazing at lots and lots of things, visiting the most fantastic places etc etc.
I mean, COME ON!
Even if all this **** is true, you don't have to boast about it at any given opportunity. And don't tell me you don't love to bring all this stuff up. For example half of your posts in the Metal thread are something like "Oh I own this super rare version of X".
I don't know a single person here on HF who is so up his own butt. Even the ones who really are CEOs or whatever with tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment and music.
Modesty is a virtue!

It's really nothing personal. Seriously. And I'm sorry if you think my choice of words is a bit too drastic.
I just think you would benefit in various ways from not boasting so much.

I haven't known you all for long, but I count you all among my friends. ;_;

To @Tom Yum Goong

I really like your avatar, but there are so many characters with proportions I like better in that universe that I can't say it's the best I've seen. :p

Godspeed you, Glasses man!

I did not even knew she was a Touhou character when I picked the avatar. Was just some pretty pic on Pixiv :D
Please direct me to your prefered characters once you come back (or find some wifi).

You misunderstand. The version used in that video is the TV size theme song (used in the Attack On Titan OP) played on repeat. I was saying that the full-length version (on the single by Linked Horizon) is not as satisfying.

I try not to marvel at my own awesomeness, but sometimes, it simply cannot be helped. :p

Here is my vain attempt at modesty:

But in all seriousness, I don't see it as boasting (to speak with exaggeration and excessive pride); I just casually mention things that happen to be relevant. In that case, it was an introduction to those who don't know me. It's less boring than just saying "I like music."

I also don't see anything wrong with commenting that you own and enjoy something that someone else does.

Hey Alchemist, when are you planning on doing the FFVI multiplayer party? I'm still down for a gaming get-together at some point.

VI? You mean IX.

@Spada05 has been gone for the longest time, and it would most likely be in Kentucky, so...I have no idea.

Wow. I came out of lurking to post this post. I'm amazing.

I like people who lurk (but also don't lurk), post posts, and are amazing enough to share that fact with the world.

Nice ta meet ya! :D

But wouldn't it be enough to say "I have some experience with music and happen to know some people"?
How are all these mansions, expensive guitars, unbelieveable performances etc relevant? I don't get it. Do you really have to make yourself more interesting? Again, modesty is a virtue. Bragging about all this only makes you less likeable.

And what about all these post where you mention having super rare item X?
Why not just say "Yes, I own all albums of this great band/I bought a strategy guide for this game".
You know what I mean. You always have to mention how rare and special and expensive the stuff is that you own. Doesn't that appear a bit strange to you? No one here besides you does that.

Yeah, IX. That one. :p I figured that Spada was simply posting during my massive 10+ page skips when I take more than 12 hours away from this thread. I wonder how many I'm going to ship while I'm in Gatlinburg this weekend. I don't think the cabin has wifi and cell coverage in the mountains is always spotty.

I know Spada is in KY since he's just across the river from my "town," but where is the "Super-secret Music Alchemist secret headquarters of secretness!"? Are you secretly a Cuban? Are you in space? Do you live in a hollowed-out volcano?

Umm, what. Sorry I tend to stay away from loud people.

This is sooo relevant and worth watching:

I'm sure it comes as no surprise that Rhonda is my second favorite character on that show. Her snobbery, even while attending a public school, is exquisitely entertaining.

Plus, it's a good example of the type of bragging that puts others down, instead of my personal style of trying to lift everyone else up with me. (Sorry if you weren't uplifted as much as I intended.)

To address your concerns...

Nope, not enough for me! ^_^

They are relevant because they relate to me and music, which is what the thread is about. Perhaps I could at least put that part in a spoiler box, though...

People who just say things like what you recommended come off as boring to me. I do sometimes merely say I like something and leave it at that...but why not make the conversation more interesting? If you talked about impressive things in your life, I wouldn't resent you for it in the least.

You miss...far too much here, my friend.

If I told you, it wouldn't be my super-secret secret headquarters of secretness, now, would it?

I just meant that I like how you're not too embarrassed to publicly admit to being amazing.

Some people take offense to things like that...
