@Bowei No real terminology besides regular old computer stuff. I mean, if you study it, there are going to be terms they use to describe how to operate in the environment and of course various terms for the philosophy about how IT departments work in various situations. I just know how it is and what to expect from the job at a school when it comes to low end stuff. Not much else when it comes to the various inner workings of things. Like my boss was showing me how they label where different parts of the network go and I got to see the inside of the closets where they keep the network switches, routers, and modems. I even saw the main phone lines and such. Was really daunting.....I had never seen so many long ethernet cords and fiber cables

that used to be me. this time around i stuck...this thread is a big part why for sure as well. after zomgforums went under....this is my new haven :D

i know exactly what you mean. haha i first saw those cables a couple years back. you get used to it if your school is poor and can't afford to hide or tunnel the wires and servers.

i just got it. works...soo soo well. can't do softsubs..but does everything so well!

AND GUYS. i feel terrible, we have almost killed the other anime thread that has been on Head-Fi for over half a decade anymore. The way their system and lurkers worked and were were just different from ours. We needed our own home... and I guess we have almost killed it. in the past 2 months they have only accumulated 3 pages of posts. and in this whole month...1 page. pages don't mean anything. but a anime and manga thread is meant to be active and have ppl..... -___-  i feel bad..maybe we shouldn't have, maybe we should have. Hybrid Core putting the [official] tag on it pulled more people towards ours...even though it means nothing on head fi. it just looks better.

Meh...the other thread kinda always has been like that.  It goes through bits and spurts of activity, depending on the anime airing seasons or if someone just saw something they really dig and people feel like discussing.  That and it's just the ebb and flow of head-fi, in general.

oh thank you. it just....it just sat there. and it's old.. i felt pretty bad. well i guess we have an regular whatever thread on head fi ..and ours. where all our randomness gets posted. 

It kinda does sit there sometimes...sometimes for weeks without a post.  To be honest, I hardly ever check this thread because it would take me too long to catch up on it on any given day, so the bits and spurts of the anime thread suit my style of lurking better.

Eden volume 9 is good but biased. The authors acute poisoning of world morals has given him some sometimes stereotypical views of a people and race.

I think this thread is alive because its near the top lol

the other anime thread seemed to have disappeared 

that and there's the active members that keeps this thread alive too :D
