That's some gooooooood stuff. : )

Sweetness. Have you compared the 24-bit to the 16-bit with this?

@miceblue

Thanks for the offer!! to try the GO 1000, not sure if I should since I already have the 450, and with the Heaven V, it would likely deafen me permanently at low volumes.

My GO 450 Exhibits noise. The replacement they sent which i was finally home to try, exhibits slightly less noise from memory but i haven't ABed the two yet before sending it back. If people are getting no noise period with any IEM, I might just send both back, which is plain stupid because you would think the would have tested this replacement for noise when i complained about noise. Just no time at home to AB. But it's noise nonetheless. Not sure what to do at this point. The only IEM i don't hear noise from is the Rockets which are pretty darn hard to drive for an IEM. Everything else is a noisefest of varying degrees. And don't get me started on the 3D effect noise.

I get noise on my UERM, although not a ton, its clearly audible with no music and still audible with low/single instrument music.

 nevermind.

There's a few P4 Characters in there. XD

Told a friend i hadnt seen in a bit that i wasnt quite married yet. She goes wait what do you mean not quite?! I go... you do know that you just essentially said "oh good, i thought you were getting married." she proceeds to cover her red face for the next 2 minutes.

I think theres a possibility there for Haremette No. 2

I will find a way! Even if it takes 1.21 jiggawatts.

They gave me their test results and I'm only being the messenger to the people and confirming the noise they hear is real *don't shoot the messenger please.* And besides, my unit passed their test specifications, so it's not just my unit if it passed with those results.

Obviously "faux analog" are his words of choice because he's hearing digital 1's and 0's instead of analog. tongue.gif
I think I was one of the first to bring it up, honestly. I read about the 3D noise, but that doesn't have to do with normal operation of the device with the headphone out port. I was surprised to see that people with the GO 1000 said it sounds fine with their earphones, but clearly the 450 has more noise based on what people have been discussing. That makes no sense to me and I think it's just plain silly that they're offering the GO 100 for more money than the GO 450 for the sole purpose of catering to the sensitive headphone/earphone users; evidently the power output doesn't have to do anything with the noise issue.

This makes me want to find a way to cancel my Wave order...

Very nice. I'm a sucker for well recorded percussion. And in regard to TomScy's wording, you know what I mean... He said it was slightly disconcerting to listen to the Plenue and couldn't figure out whether he liked it, just that it sounded very different than what he was accustomed to

If anyone is watching Ao Haru Ride, what subs are you watching?

That survey thing is bogus. The choices are bogus, but the result is kind of true. I disagree with the explanation a bit, especially the last paragraph.

A lower sampling rate would probably make more of a difference given that there are actual signals beyond 22.05 kHz in that track, and others from that "album." The K240 reproduces sounds up to 20 kHz (with unknown standard deviation values reported), but the K 701 can go up to 39.8 kHz (with missing standard deviations again). Light Harmonic tends to avoid using filtering when possible, so I'm not sure how the Geek Out responds to ultrasonic frequencies. I've been avoiding using the Geek Out with the STAX amp because I don't know what input voltage it accepts, but it looks like it's well above what the Geek Out outputs, so I may give that a try too.

That track is only DR17, so the higher noise floor of the 16-bit version likely won't make a difference unless I plan to annihilate my hearing.

Part of your quote has some weird formatting that prevents me from quoting it, even with the BBCode editor. Impossibru! D:

Anyway, you must be using Windows, huh? I get plenty of head-room with the volume control with the GO 450 in OS X. I think Windows pre-amps the volume according to one of the local folks who is borrowing my GO 1000 at the moment.

As for the Wave, I backed the Wave 32, so going by Light Harmonic's logic, I should be able to use more sensitive earphones with it because it has less power than all of the other models. : D

Just ordered a sample of 12pcs of some transistors from China, fingers crossed that they're the real deal, I'll buy out their 2400pcs stock if it is.

Haha. Sorry about that.

What are you building? Are going to "give" it away for members of this thread for whiskey? Can I be in line for it?
Just wasted more additional time on reddit to look for android games.

I was curious about the 2400 transistors too. Must be building a custom op-amp with that (code name: Deadly amp), hahaha.

That's a pretty cool app actually.

Reading your post, I thought that I misread the 2400 transistors thing; instead of 2400 units, it's some model number. Derp.
