Yeah the measurements look very promising, and other aspects of the product are very appealing to me too.

Still hoping I can hold until local retailers to bring in, instead of order from exportprive =_=

Yeah I'll have to A/B against the GO, but the GO sig is basically what I wanted in a portable device. It's why I've got an eye on the Wave. As it stands though, I'm very happy with what I'm hearing out of the M. There's none of that digititus that'd hear on the DX90, the M sounds very natural to me

Which is expensive as heck. Really hope retail pricing isn't that high.

I misread that as gifs, I waited and waited for them to start playing....and they never did. :p

Just ordered a sample of 12pcs of some transistors from China, fingers crossed that they're the real deal, I'll buy out their 2400pcs stock if it is.

Erm, I wouldn't expect local price to be cheaper than self import cost, in fact normally its the opposite here..

Buying locally is just for the convenience and possibly support when something unfortunately went wrong.

Really? I guess that shows you how good their quality control is..... >.>

I can hear the noise with the SE215 pretty easily.

Haha. Just a few hours ago, someone asked me to include this player in my comparison review whenever I become the demon king of DAPs.

Hmm, do you feel that the DX90 offers nothing over the M? I do want the M more, but was planning on getting the DX90 first. From reviews I've read so far, it seems that the DX90 is more neutral while the M is more warm, aggressive, and full-bodied. For this reason, I feel I would enjoy both depending on mood.

And yeah the Plenue looks pretty nice too. $300 more than the M is just ugh, but it could be worse (AK240). I don't know what to make of TomScy's comment that it sounds "faux analog" though. He seemed to think it sounded very good however. I'll keep an eye on it. I've got 30 days with the M before committing.

And I've never heard any noise out of my 450. I'm guessing something is up with your GO

Agreed, which is why unless it's something highly valuable and I need a warranty, I'd rather just import it myself

Yeah, which was why I used unfortunate. I believe there were a few complaints about it in the forums. Quite a few iirc

I'm not the only one who has noise problem though. I was probably just the first person to point it out to Light Harmonic head-on (Gavin personally replied to my support tickets) and probably the first person to send it back to them to get it inspected. They gave me their test results and I'm only being the messenger to the people and confirming the noise they hear is real *don't shoot the messenger please.* And besides, my unit passed their test specifications, so it's not just my unit if it passed with those results.

Obviously "faux analog" are his words of choice because he's hearing digital 1's and 0's instead of analog. tongue.gif

I think I was one of the first to bring it up, honestly. I read about the 3D noise, but that doesn't have to do with normal operation of the device with the headphone out port. I was surprised to see that people with the GO 1000 said it sounds fine with their earphones, but clearly the 450 has more noise based on what people have been discussing. That makes no sense to me and I think it's just plain silly that they're offering the GO 100 for more money than the GO 450 for the sole purpose of catering to the sensitive headphone/earphone users; evidently the power output doesn't have to do anything with the noise issue.

I was going to ask you where you even get the Calyx M in the US, but I found a dealer that sells it online.

...Not that it matters, because I won't be ordering anything until at least a few weeks from now.
