Also, haven't finished it (might play it as well soon, since I'll be playing XII), but generally enjoyed it. Not sure if it's AS good as people say (because you know, nostalgia and stuff), but I had no problems enjoying it when playing for the first time so long after it came out.

How far did you get into the game?

Ah, okay. I've beaten the game between five and twenty times. (Hard to keep track.)

@miceblue
If you play VII, I can show you advanced strategies not many know about.

Why so often?
The only game I've beaten that often would be Oblivion, as far as I know. And I've beaten that a mere 6-7 times.

Good summary. They're all worth playing.

Thanks

For a regular playthrough, no intention of beating the superbosses, would he really need special strategies?

The only game I can remember literally needing a good strategy from the beginning is FF Tactics and that stupid stupid boss toward the middle of the game that god help you if you save over your only save game when it asks if you want to save inside the castle.

Speaking of, I bought Final Fantasy XII yesterday (and Ace Combat Zero, but that's another thing). Let's see if it's really that good, or at least if the first part is.

Yes! FFXII is my favorite one :)
Number 9 come in second place.

Of the 3D Final Fantasy games (7 through13), which one should I play. Hiro of Project Phoenix really likes #9, although I'm inclined to play #7 just because everyone has played it (it doesn't look terribly fun though).

See above

Final Fantasy VII is relatively easy to beat, but why stop there? It's fun doing crazier stuff throughout the game and being able to beat the superbosses in ways the developers probably didn't even imagine.

Just watched the first five episodes of Black Butler: Book Of Circus - the third season in the series.

Looking forward to finding out what happens next!

Seven more episodes to go... An OVA entitled Black Butler: Book Of Murder will be released soon as well.

Here are the opening and ending themes, for your amusement and pleasure:

There is a new composer this time around. I immediately noticed the difference in style. It's still good, but lacks the depth and sophistication of the old songs.

Looks like the soundtrack will be released next month.

Fair enough. I bet the developers didn't really expect me to keep a separate save file

The only Final Fantasy game I know of with a playable casino is XIII-2. (I know you meant the Gold Saucer, hehe...)

I'll be surprised if you knew about this:

Here is the memory card I bought. In addition to giving you everything else, it lets you play through the game with Aeris and Sephiroth in your party.
