That's a series that needs some dedication sooo...brace yourself.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't consider myself a "true" brony like I used to be. I still like the show and the community can produce some great stuff, but the weird stuff started flowing in to where I frequented most and I just sorta left. I do treasure the friends and connections I made back in the day though.

I used to watch the show, wasn't active at all in the community. Though I am in fact the OP of Head-Fi's MLP thread. Not that that means much.
I have quite a few brony friends. But in the end I stopped watching the show because it became boring to me.

Time to catch up with the animez!

Yea, that's my point.

Are you implying that I'm imagining the difference? Because I'm certainly not...it's rather easy to hear the difference between clear, punchy, and tight and muddy, distorted, dull, bloated, etc.

In fact, I just heard the lossy (320 kbps MP3) version of one track and it doesn't even sound a third as good as the lossless. There is easily noticeable distortion.

1stly, how did you obtain said tracks?

2ndly, A third? Video of blind A/B of gtfo.

I mean... it's lossless, just like putting a wav into a zip.

Yea. someone will likely go at this with the system needs to process it angle. I probably missed it but Alchy has probably already done so :p

This has been debated all over the Internet, so I'm not trying to create another one; I'm just stating the fact that under certain circumstances, some have experienced this, whether it is in their mind or real.

I have a limited two-disc edition of this collaboration between Sunn O))) and Boris.

Not fact, heresay. Only factual part is that they claim to have experienced it.

No they really might have experienced it. It's just that human perception, although immensely sensitive, is hardly accurate in many cases.

Yeah, I can respect that. I started watching at the end of season 1 when the hype was at it's peak, and season 2 steamrolled the first season (IMO). Season 3 didn't have as much soul put in to it as the other 2, but was, from a purely technical standpoint, on par. Season 4 was pretty good but I felt that the characters had lost some of their luster.

I actually hadn't noticed that you started the thread, thank you for doing so Tilpo.

Yeah, I don't think I will be starting a new anime series any time soon.

I tried watching Game Of Thrones (even saw the Red Wedding scene) and was bored out of my mind. (This is coming from a Lord Of The Rings freak!)

No one of consequence.

That information does not concern you. :p And I have no interest or reason to prove such things to anyone.

Yeah, I already mentioned that. I'm not saying I believe it at all. Just being the reporter here.

They had an experience that made them believe it was different; whether it actually was is a different story. I meant the same thing as you: it is a fact that they claimed it.

Skype is now a web browser:

Not sure how it happened.... but it actually works like a normal browser.

Wat. How... how did this even come in to Skype's train of thought? What guy was like "Y'know... We did pretty well in impersonating a phone, let's impersonate Internet Explorer!"?

Your top item in "Favorites" is killing me! XD

My Skype doesn't let me do that at all.

It's a bug, like I said I'm not sure how it happened.
But I could guess... Skype uses a web interface to connect with facebook.

I'm too lazy to ask permission from the content owner to modify his video, then re-record some of the audio, then post it here. So pretend the video is about Skype.

Playing with GNOME some bit more and I'm starting to really, really like it now. Really tempted.

I've seen KDE looking really nice too (by default it looks really bad IMO) with a nice GTK+ theme but that's kind of it. Unity is closer to GNOME so I guess I like it more than KDE. Cinnamon is nice, again not the best looking by default but it has GTK+ theme support, I think. Haven't used MATE (GNOME 2 fork). Openbox is gorgeous (and has GTK+ theme support).

Haven't really tried much else. I forgot the name of Elementary OS's DE or WM (different things, I know). I think it was called Pantheon? It was pretty nice. Didn't like the bottom dock but you can easily get rid of that.
