I used to go out into the wilderness and take nature photos. Fun times. :)

Whenever I scan my slides and negatives from years ago, I could share the better ones here.

Peasants. Izana is best girl. Although I shouldn't have searched for Tsumugi. I think I spoiled myself.

Too many meh mech battles, lame MC (and kind of lame cast in general except princess, blond mars guy and traitor lady) and a not so engaging story.

There is just nothing happening story-wise.

******** Mars knights are tired of sitting around, fake the assassination of the princes and attack. That's it. Rather boring IMO.
Not impressed.
It's not meh mecha battles, but tactical authentic mech battles. Solid sci-fi explanation, although there's still a bit of Scientific Pronouns used. If I equate the MC to a piece of log, I'd say this is true. Most anime would stop there and paste a drawing resembling a character and there's that. This guy is an average student in an average schools except he have magical girl fallen in his lap, and very damn buxom women and flat silent girls want his obviously massive log. But Inaho (or whatever his name is) is given to Urobutcher, and he seems to be not drunk and writing the damn story himself. Now, in the log analogue, Urobutcher is a master craftman, carving out real depth and characteristic out of Bland Log-kun.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
You can see it as that, but I see it more as the mystery on who is the culprit, and how can the culture be changed considering what the Martian did to the Moon and then to cities on Earth.

Or

Nikon D7100 + http://www.amazon.com/Tamron-17-50mm-Vibration-Compensation-Digital/dp/B002LVUIXU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1406965744&sr=8-2&keywords=tamron+17-50
+ a 35mm prime (probably)

Debating between convenience of size of the mirrorless vs the video quality of the D7100 and the confidence I get from buying a Nikon?

I know very little about mirrorless cameras along sadly... well, not that I knew alot about photography in general.

Hmm, very biased, but I recommend looking into Olympus' or Panasonic's Micro Four Thirds system. So far they are the most robust ecosystem for now according to my research 6 months ago. I do say though that Sony's churn out ******* amazing jpegs from the hands on time in their stores. Never tried shooting Fuji though, but from the internet, it seems it's more artsy fartsy.

And there goes another 602 posts right out the window.

Anyways, I just got the new Asus UX303LN laptop. The colour of the 3K screen is off and there's scaling issues but apart from that it seems like a pretty good lappy but I kind of wish I had gotten the UX32LN instead.

 You didn't go back and read? You missed so many memes!

I wish I had gotten an armored laptop. My Alienware looks cool...

...but the hinges and keys are made of cheap plastic and are falling apart now...

Nope I was too lazy to do that ;3

The build quality of that asus lappy is frankly spectacular from my very limited use - reminds me of apple build quality actually as I have the Macbook Air I've been using right next to me as I type - but really, its a shame about the screen being that bad. Oh well, I've got it now, gotta live with my decisions no matter how bad they are. Sorry about your lappy too, alienwares are supposed to be build like a tank but even they have to cut corners it seems.

Yeah, the body is really tough; it's just that there was a hinge quality control issue with my particular model.

The screen is very nice, especially for HD content. Looks better than my HDTV + HDMI cable, actually.

The main thing I dislike is how easily it overheats. It didn't used to. I suspect malicious programs are deteriorating it, even when I do a factory reset every once in awhile.

Does your new laptop have 12 GB RAM? I only have 8. :p

Oh right I see, then that's good that it at least still works for you.

Have you tried taking the back cover off and cleaning the dust buildup out of the lappy? If not, I'd say that that's the primary cause of your laptop overheating ;)

Mine has 8 too as I haven't bought a 8GB ram stick for it yet. I've only swapped out the piddly little Sandisk 128GB SSD for a much nicer 512GB Crucial M550 SSD.

I keep editing my posts! I added a bit more about how much I like the screen.

I have one of those compressed air things, but haven't used it recently.

I can definately see potential in the series. Just saying that SO FAR. I don't see much. But I can see a lot of potential.

And yes...this log was given to Urobutcher

I haven't tried the 3K screen for any multimedia yet but I suspect that my external HDD is gonna be filled a lot quicker as I now have an excuse to download 1080p anime!

Use it, use it! Then, tell me if it makes a difference :D

Haha the problem is that any number over 200 is one that I'm not willing to go through unless I have a humongous excess of time :o

@EveTan
Have you considered the Canon Eos 7D? I was recommended that if I buy the Rebel T5i, which I have used and like, then I might as well save up for the 7D since it's the only camera in the Eos line that truly is an upgrade compared to other models, not to mention how ruggedly built the 7D is. The D7100 is the competitor to the Rebel T5i, no?

From my experience, I like how Canon's colour tuning is more natural-looking compared to the more green/yellow hue of Nikon's. I also greatly prefer Canon's grip and button placement compared to those of Nikon, especially since I have small hands; Canon places the shutter button at an angle (more ergonomic since your finger is naturally at an angle) and has a deeper thumb grip whereas Nikon places the shutter button vertically and has a shallow thumb grip.

I decided to wear my retainer after jot wearing it for over a year......my teeth feel like they're falling off now. >.>

ROG is a subsidiary of Asus and both them and MSI have a line of laptops which are purely for gaming. I considered getting an MSI GS60 Ghost Pro myself before settling with this Asus number. Sager takes Clevo (an OEM laptop manufacturer) barebones laptops and configures them for sale to third-party retailers. Consider getting a laptop from them if you do upgrade your Alienware as all three have better bang for the buck than Alienware, Sager especially.

Of course, there are a lot of other options out there in the market but those four generally make some really solid options for the average guy who wants to have a gaming laptop, Sager being the budget option and Alienware the premium option with ROG and MSI falling in the middle.
