I'm ten pages behind. If any one asked me specific questions. Please do not be offended if I don't respond. I don't have time to go through them right now. But you can reask them

Why does Michael J. Fox make the best milkshakes?

Again, here's this thread explaining how the HD800 isn't that difficult to "drive," yet everyone claims it's picky with amps without doing any proper comparison tests between them.
http://www.head-fi.org/t/724199/hd800-being-picky-with-amps-myth#post_10656025

The HD800 is bright by nature, by multiple objective measurements. Pairing it with a transparent amp and saying it sound bad because it's bright makes no sense whatsoever; that's how it's supposed to sound. Pair it with a warm amp and saying it sounds good is false because now you're just pairing it up with and EQ and you're no longer listening to how the HD800 is.

The TH900 is ridiculously easy to "drive" (it's like a portable headphone, 153 mW to reach 120 dB SPL at say 35-ohms), just that its sound signature is funky and certain amp pairings might have better synergy. It is a very coloured headphone in the first place.

The fact that it's easy to drive is one reason I shared it. So I guess what he really meant was that he simply didn't like the sound signature of the other amps he tried with it. The GS-X mk2 is said to be very neutral and transparent, too, so you could say it brings out the best character of many headphones. It also seems to be one of the best-sounding amps for the HD 800.

Hm, the post you linked to relates to what I just said about striving for neutral amps.

Could you link me to a specific post/article instructing how to do proper comparison tests between amps?

Have no idea. But as a gift, we didn't want to skimp on the price XD. Who knows what kind of things he'll come up with while tinkering :D.

Fair enough. What's he going to be tinkering with though?

Lol, I'm thankful for that so there wasn't as much to catch up on!

Hmm, for some reason I didn't really like that song you linked to. Her voice was good, just not my style.

I'm lusting after that 450D. O_O

The only thing I have remotely comparable to these computer cases is my 12 TB external hard drive array.

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 95

I was surprised she could sing at all, because I was so familiar with her being a TV star.

Here are 7 more of her songs, ranging from dancepop to pop rock to R&B-inspired pop, with three music videos and a dance/radio remix thrown in.

Warning: teenybopper content! (Click to show)

If you click on my profile, you can see how diverse my tastes in music are. I'll probably listen to black/death metal and some orchestral after getting my Miranda fix for the day.

I'm pretty knowledgeable about all styles of music (not so much for Asian artists), so if you are ever looking for something specific (I mean something that sounds like something, not a specific album you already know about), I may be able to help. I'm a musician too. I would share a video of me singing really high, but I'm a little paranoid about my privacy...

Did you see the snu snu episode yet? XD

Haha, I really like it! I can find pictures of my build tonight too, since that's just a stock photo...

Thanks! I'll give those a listen when I get home tonight.

Eeyeah, that's an insane variance in genres... :O

DISCOO!!!!!!

Or actually, I'd like to find some modern American artists I would actually enjoy listening to. I'll think of some songs to base it off of later tonight.

Because soccer and baseball are much more popular sports in mexiko.

Took me a minute to figure that one out... Boo.

I'll be slobbering all over myself if you post real life pics of that beast. I don't even have a proper rig to put in it, but it's great that it's only around $120.

It's surprising how much more mature "Beautiful Mess" sounds than some of her more teenybopper-ish tracks.

I don't know anyone else (at least in person) with such diverse tastes in music. I used to want to be a pop singer and metal guitarist - at the same time! I went over nightmare scenarios in my mind involving fans of one genre assassinating me for doing the other.

I have like...one disco album. lol

Okay, so...I know you want artists who are modern and American - but nothing else! XD Awaiting the specifics...if you give me genres, I could list artists/albums I like.

I'm well past the honeymoon with my Raven 02. I'm gonna build a microATX next time I upgrade I think. Watercooled raven 02 ~ 20kg and is a pain in the ass to transport, especially when I have to carry my also heavy ass dell 3011 around too. Watercooled matx probably much better.

I love the concept behind G-Sync, but damn is it going to be pricey. And I agree, I'd love to see the tech on more panels than just TN.

I no longer have time to read through all the missed stuff at work. It's a good thing though, really, just getting into a huge opportunity that may lead to promotion out of our Network Operations Center. The word "excited" doesn't accurately describe my emotions right now.

Nothing wrong with working for a NOC. I have to deal with several different NOCs every day. Yay corporate-level positions! Also, you seem much more competent than many of the NOC techs I have to work alongside so that's a big plus.

NVIDIA is the only company that can get their OpenGL drivers working. AMD tries to support all extensions and has to build the driver from the outside => in and ends up with this pile of crap. Intel...they have potential, they just aren't getting anywhere. You know there's a problem though if they have 2 or more driver teams within the company (not counting open source).

I would love to see AMD get their crap together with drivers (it's at least better than the ATI days, so I'll give them that). I would also like to see them make more power efficient GPUs since NVIDIA is stomping them into the dirt with performance per watt with power efficiency, and that's only with a 750 Ti right now. Maxwell is looking quite awesome already.

Also, AMD, make a better stock cooler.

Nah, there's definitely nothing wrong with it. It's entry level in my opinion, though, so I am eager to move upwards. It's funny to me that I am easily the youngest in my NOC (of 10 employees, granted), and yet I'm the most likely to move out next.

Also, thanks :)

Anyway, anyone have any suggestions for some Summer '14 series to watch? So far I only found Aldnoah Zero and SAO II. Need more to look forward to each week!

I'm actually EST, only 3 hours :)

You should watch Zankyou no Terror. It's psychological and beautifully put together. If you can handle a bit of "WTF" and some horror themes, Tokyo Ghoul is pretty enjoyable as well. For my comical badassery, I watch Akame ga Kill.

Zankyou no Terror is amazing. IMO the best anime of this season.
